Just when I think I have the design finalized I come up with something else! I'm going to add some tabs on the backside that will allow for the oem grill to slip in on the backside. The grill will need a little minor trimming to fit as shown in first photo but it works very slick for those that want to retain this oem grill for added protection.
When will they be ready to ship and how much are they going to cost?

Weight of oem grill and plastic trimmed from nose cone is 12 oz
Weight of the new AL guard is 8 oz.
The real weight savings comes after a day of riding when you don't have a solid block of ice in the stock grill set up.

No, I will not. I ship to Canada.
Here are some more pictures of it on sled. Obviously the frogzskin is not installed.
Final finish will be black powdercoat. Going to retail them for $130.
I'm thinking 2 weeks I should have some ready to sell.

Guards are now in stock. Picked them up at powder coater this morning. Website page has been updated, and they are in the online store for purchase. Below is a photo of one installed. Had to plug a work light in just to get it to show up for a picture. The finish is matte black so it blends in perfect with nose cone.
Will the Frogxskin diminish airflow somewhat?

Yes the frogzskin will restrict flow on a bench test compared to stock grill, but in real world conditions it is going to flow much better than the stock grill packed full of frozen snow and ice like I experienced on one of my first trips.

Wouldn’t it be good if it were a block of ice as that would be cold radiant transfer?

If the ice was touching the cooler it would transfer heat but it melts away and then there is an air gap between the cooler and the ice. At that point there is no heat transfer and now the ice is blocking all the air flow so the cooler is doing nothing.

Got my father on a sidewinder now so I can do side by side comparisons against a stock grill. Pictures below are after 140 miles of just trail riding. No off trail powder riding. My dad's sled was iced up about 1/3 of the way up.
