The one I assembled last week I glued the mesh and then riveted the backing plate on. Today I want to assemble one with no glue and see how it holds out. If one would tear or pucture some mesh the backing plate could could be removed so new mesh could be installed. I'm thinking no glue would make mesh replacement easier.
Once I have decided which route I'm going I will assemble a few and offer them up to guys in the thread that expressed interest before I put them up in the store.
I am one of those guys that needs one let me know when your ready to send one to me.

I have a handfull of these assembled and ready to ship. I've sent PM's to those that expressed interest. If you are interested and didn't get a PM contact me.
I ended up sticking with the adhesive. First I glue the skin to the backing grid. Once that dries I apply adhesive to the front grid and rivet the assembly together.

Someone requested a photo of the black guard installed, so posting here for all to see. Doesn't stand out like bare aluminum, but still has style!
As I mentioned in the past, using this guard allows the intercooler to be pivoted forward to gain space on the back side. I have a fan set up for the stock intercooler that I plan to test this winter.

You may be able to modify it to fit but my guard utilizes the same mount points so you’d have to secure it some other way. It was not designed to work with factory nose cone.

Travis, working on installing the snow free guard now....and I figured something out that might be worth posting here.
Occasionally, when following someone you get the ice marbles....I took the screen that comes stock and put it behind your frogskin design. I zip-tied it and this way if a marble punctures the frogskin, I will still have protection.
I'll post pics soon.
