[/QUOTE]I had mine mounted in exact same spot as you. Be careful, if sled bottoms completely out...the upper idler wheel can make contact with the hook of scratcher. It did on mine and chewed up wheel

Just curious as why you didn't mount them more forward?

I had an issue on my viper where the scratchers where bouncing up and scratching the crap out of my rails. I mean they did a job!!
I still don't know what I did wrong , they where set up the right way. Has anyone had this happen??

Didnt find a spot that I felt would work. Mainly for getting snow on the rear exchanger. Slide wear hasnt seemed to be an issue on this chassis.

No they stay put, unless the bolt holding them losens and they spin, but still should not ever come up and touch the rails,i ran them for two years on my xtx and sometimes they would be down, when I wanted them up,but I never did do an eyelet or something to keep them in place, just bent them in ward and sat them on top of rail, when not in use. Worth the money in my book.Never ran scratchers before, just a quick question, when your riding with them do they ever bounce around and make contact with the rails. Would like to mount a set but worry about them contacting the rails and doing damage.
