Sobfrogg's 03 RX1 Project NEW WORK 12-05-10 page 5

Now that she is back in the shop I can get back to work on the rear seat mount.
When I get that done I get her on a scale.

With the Phazer done its time to get back to the RX.
I finished up with the tunnel dump exhaust. I ended up using a longer body glasspack muffler and added an extra baffle to knock some of the hashness down.

After afew hours of running it around in the pow this is what I ended up w/ ice build up.
I imagine if I polish the underside of the tunnel extension this will not be there.
Looks like only a couple of pounds of build up

With all the things going on at home I forgot to get pics of my plate covering the whole in the tunnel. Some of the pics with the seat bracket show it however.
So on to the seat bracket. The first few attempts were a little to complicated. On to a simpler approach.

Thats about it for now. Other than installing the warm hands controler that about all I had planned for this season

So here is how she ended up.

Things for next year or this summer.

Is that muffler trailable at all? I wish I could dump my stocker and get the rear a little easier to pick up when stuck.

I'm going SC next year wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds cool, until you are close!
Scares little kids and old ladies...
Laffin

Wonder why yours is that much louder than mine Frogg?
They are about the same dimensions, etc...

Cooooooool seat bracket btw! :pics:

Thanks Rock,

Yahh she has a growel to her. When you wack the gas it sounds like a pissed off sportbike.

SOUND GREAT in the woods. Also makes it easy to find me

Rock if you would hit the gas a little more mabey it would sound the same HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE
HMMMM I am not sure why it is so much louder. I even stuffed the extra baffle in the muff. I guess just different makes of muffs

I am VERY happy with the bracket. Without the stock exhaust and all the plastic crap it is lots easier to left the rear out of the trenches I like to dig LaLaLa

As for ice build up. I have almost NONE. I looked seceral times durring the TY ride and very little ice. I may install a alum cover on the underside to cover the muff whole. Thats about the only place wher the pow would stick.

The MPI kit has made such an improvement on the deepsnow flotation I can not belive it.

Now I just need more POWER :jump:

Thanks,

I am really happy with the way it turned out. When you are going though town and want to keep the sound down it does a good job. Just stay out of the flipper.
When I am off in the woods FULL throt sounds even better.

I think my Attak may get one

Thanks Kinger, i'll keep it in mind. As of now I am leaning towards a front mount turbo.

Looks like the turbo kit is about 20 lbs lighter going by the shipping weight.

Hey Sleddhead. I think I might bring the Attak.

HAHAHAHHAHA YAH RIGHT.

AHHHHAAAAGGAGAGAHHHHHAAAAA! YA, the SHINY Attak is what ya otta bring Scott!! We can take turns BUFFIN' IT LOL!!
