Hi I thought that I would let guys know about what I found when changing the oil in my 05 warrior, and my friends 07 apex. when you take the plate off to get to the engine drain there is a cooler hose runs across under the engine that is sagged and half shafted throw from laying on the bottom of the body

Alot of the guys are cutting a rubber hose and then putting it over that hose.

If I understand what your saying......Yes I saw this when i did my first oil change when my sled was brand new (07) that it was going to wear fast .. so I wraped it with some left over rubber hose that I split and zip tied to protect it. I always go threw my sleds when new and as time goes by to look for stuff like this(especially when I rode arctic cats) cause it can save a bad day far from home.

when you look up on the side that it's low, on the engine is an empty tab with a bolt hole. I used a good zip tie to lift the hose up works good

also.... check your rear coolant cross tube at back of tunnel. were the metal tube goes thru the side of tunnel under the black plastic covers... mine were wearing bad of both apex's... rivets loosen up and tube gets cut by tunnel.

Same with mine. I did my first oil and filter change myself instead of taking it to the dealer. The more things I do to this the more shortcuts I see that yammy did in part placement in that engine compartment. Also did chaincase gasket at the same time.. Love the Apex but what a cajumble once you get into it!

Also check your fan mounts!
If they are shot it looks like it's possible for the shift lever to hit the radiator.
I noticed mine a year ago and zip tied the radiator in place..no probs.

I've not heard of any rad problems. Can you explain what you saw?
The tabs that hold the radiator break off , just replaced mine at 13,000 miles so I'm not to disappointed

I know I'm gonna regret posting this but my mounting tabs broke off my radiator on my 06' apex gt. Sled was pissing coolant due to the reverse linkage boring a hole in the radiator. I had the radiator repaired , leak tested, and painted for $40.00. I was told the housing was too thin to weld new tabs on. SO.... I used J-B weld quick on the tabs and let them set up. then I bolted it all back together and used ( 2 )-3/8" zip ties as a security blanket. So far and 5000 hard miles later. all is mint. I hit a driveway snowbank in maine at about 112 mph that sent me flying for a few dozen yards and caused me to see stars / white lightning upon impact. upon coming back down to earth, pulling over and changing my soiled boxers I ripped my side panels off to assess the carnage inflicted on the radiator.....NADA. so trail tested, J-B weld, zip tie, pro-hack mod is what I call it for laughs, but it works and I keep J - B weld in my first aid kit now with the zip ties, tie downs, and mechanics wire....LOL

Yep this is a good tip too. I noticed my crossover tube mounting rivets were broken so the tube was resting on the tunnel and cutting the tube.
I slit a piece of fuel hose and created a "grommet and slipped it over the sharp edge of the tunnel until I have to replace my doughnuts the next time

I checked on this cooler hose above the oil change plate today on my 07 Attak, and everything is tight and no chafing. Is it the hose located in the middle of the plate and about the diameter of a finger? Just want to make sure that I am looking in the right spot. Thanks.

Thank you!
I was out doing my pipes and donuts and checked out the cross pipes you're talking about.
Mine was starting to wear on the right side.
Thanks again for the heads up.
