Spark Plug Boots

The boot is the rubber piece on the end that goes around the spark plug. That whole unit is the coil.

Seems that I had to take the whole thing out. But I did it! Kinda proud, being the mechanical goof that I am..

That strap thing sure made it easy

Why is the last boot look rusty? It was on tight like the others.15416882426058740621220203582374.jpg 154168828909577394320444842829.jpg

are you origonal owner? looks like it was stored outside without a cover for a period or on an open trailer for a few trips from the corrosion i see in the pics. odds are that water was sitting in there for a period. i rccomend coating the coils and in the tips of them with di electric grease. it is normal to have to wiggle and pull them a bit to get them out.

I am not the original owner but did trailer it without the cover a few times while the cover was repaired.

Thx to all for the replies.
