Well I blew it and did not check the bolt that holds the lower link shaft to the skid. Gone in a few miles. Does anyone have the spec on the bolt i.e. 10mm x xx length?? I cannot get to my sled for a few days to pull the remaining bolt, by the time I do all parts stores will be closed and I will be down for a few extra days (days off with snow
).
Thanks in advance

Well, I got a bolt that pieced it back together. It will work till I get the spec part. Wished I could have gotten some help here, but no such luck. I am 5 hrs to the closest dealer, so everything is on my own. Had hoped this site would be a reasource when in a bind. At least I now know better. Should have posted some lame up grade question about more hp - wold have gotten a response then.
Admin, you might as wll delet this post, it will not help anyone and just is using up space.

When you first posted this question I had a look in the service manual and no such luck on the bolt specifications in the drivetrain section under rear suspension )I think thats the section, it was a few days ago now.
I wouldn't guess that I was the only one that did this for YOU. Having never had this bolt out of my sled before I didn't know its characteristics, and even if I had it out before, it would be easy enough to tell you the wrong info, and then you would have been in a worse predicament and would have cursed me for telling you the wrong info.
My point is, its possible that no one new the answer off the top of their head without going out and taking the bolt in question out of their sled.
I understand you are frustrated, but generalizing that this forum is a load of $#!T is not right, just look around at the boat loads of info. If you scroll through the pages of posts yes there are some that have ZERO replies or senseless replies but for the most part they are pretty valuable!
If you wanna see crap information with a bunch of kids bitching, or talking about their 20hp gain from a $#!Tload of sponsor stickers they got for free from the internet check out HCS under the phazer section!

Same here, sorry about that.cannondale27 said:I missed your post sorry dude.

Yea, sorry for the rant. No appolligies necessary, hard to blame some one else for my own stupidity (check the damn sled before riding
)
This site has been super helpful. My sled is way better from what I have learned here. And the guys at Port Yamaha helped in at least steering me to an M10 bolt. My recollection was that it was the fine thread - or what ever the metric designation is, so I went from there bought a few different lengths. It worked. Should get some riding I this weekend.
