Don't you see what happens

Yamaha is cutting out sled production.
Cat is taking over all of good things from Yamaha, and in a couple of years Yamaha will annonce that they cut production of sleds

I would never buy first year. But it is the class o machine I like. As long as its not too heavy. But if I had to buy a 2014 sled at this point he viper would really be my only option.

I just hope this sled solves the problems cat has with belts and QC and the problems yamaha has with wear on sliders and joints.

In general to the naysayers out there, how about waiting until more info becomes available before passing judgement? If you look at the chassis pics you can see it isn't exactly like a Cat.

My thoughts exactly, it looks slightly different in many area's. I like the cat when I rode it. As far as fit and finish how long can we really harp on that. I really didnt think the cat was all that bad. I am anxious to hear from my dealer as he is at the show and will be riding one. I trust his opinion.

I don't know much other than riding season is short and I want to enjoy every minute of it. I love my nytro motor yes i'd like boost to, but I am tired of wrestling with it!

Thats the great part of being a consumer there are alot of choices, it be awful vanilla if we only had one choice right?

I like it and may get rid of my nytro, but I would definitely get the extended warranty just in case.

I really really like it a lot. I fell in love with the nytro motor since day one. Chassis has more to be desired. I can only imagine what it's like in the procross chassis. I'd love to get one, but realistically I can't see myself living in Illinois and spending 12k on a sled. I guess we'll have to see what they are actually going to sell for.

I am buying.

I bought my 06 Apex RTX new, and that is an awesome machine.

I unloaded my Nytro before the prices tanked (Loved my RTX SE)

Now getting a SR Viper RTX SE

I guess I don't have to change my TY name.

RTX it is once again lol.

Maybe a power adder this time, once they are available.

Now to find some white USI skis to mount on that sucker.

I can't buy one I have been riding yamahas since 1972. I bought the rx1 when it came out loved everything but the ride but I put up with it because it was a Yamaha can't change now I will only ride full Yamahas as long as I have the choice.

my o5 rx1 is still a great sled ,I dont care for artic cats look. The front end was hideous... now its on the Viper ..Wow ! this is a strange world.but I will not judge Yamaha on the direction just please keep the apex/vector program alive.

Lucky you, this is the only dissapointing part with the new sleds arrival. My nytro is now apparantley worth nothing to people :o|

I figure if I dont sell it I will part it out! People still need parts right?

I will for sure consider a Viper. Have a 2012 Nytro and would like to try the Viper out, but am sure the machine will be good.
