I have 1800 miles on my srx and noticed a rattle/clicking noise at low speed. Noticed when I grab a little brake it goes away. The brake rotor is a bit loose. You can move it back and forth with your hand.
Anyone know the fix for this?

I have same problem, I thought it was from the caliper bearing not being installed correctly when I replaced it last summer with SFK type. Just this past week I took it all apart again and the bearing, in fact, was all ok. While apart I also checked that the drive shaft spun good, and it did, no sign of it wobbling. When back together, I also went so far as to run the machine without the brake pads installed (in a controlled environment) and with them removed I do not have the noise when coasting to a stop. With pads in, my noise also goes away when applying brakes.
I can only conclude that the rotor is not true, and is causing the pads to rattle at low speeds...
It must be out of whack just a little bit, because I can’t really see it wobbling around when looking at it spinning with sled on stand.
Taking it to dealer this week to have them look at it. Mine has done it since mile one, and has been driving me nuts! It hasn’t got any worse in the now 1500 miles I’ve put on it this season either, so I don’t think it’s a serious issue, more of a nuisance.

Just a thought are the pads chamfered? Look at brake pads on cars, they are. I made sure mine were when I put new pads on.

I put a thin o-ring on the shaft prior to installing the bearing against the inner circlip to do two things, to help hold the bearing and to quiet the disc rattle. I also loctited the bearing and used a set screw thru the shaft to the bearing. All in an attempt the keep the bearing from spinning on the shaft.

Mine just squeaks a little when applying it. Probably would not hear it if I had a different muffler on it otherwise these things are so quiet you hear everything.

Thanks for the replies.
I had a Arctic cat riding with me and his doesn’t do it. His brake rotor Is tight. Only difference is he doesn’t have the race rotor.
It shouldn’t be like this
