SRX in Copper Harbor

My buddy talked to the guy.Buddy is a Cat guy so no reason to fake it. The picture is real. Trust me.
And I'm pretty sure someone wouldn't have thought to photoshop a 2018 Michigan trail permit on the windshield.....

My brother saw one last weekend over in Phillips as well. He took a pic at the Polish Palace. Talked to the guy too. He said it took off like a bat out of hell!!!

This one is confirmed ! A buddy I work with saw this sled parked outside a bar on a lake in that area. He said it was a guy from a dealer up there...

Does anyone know if the SRX has the lightweight brake rotor like the the LE did the last two years?
I’d love to hear from someone that rode it to see what they thought about the two stage front springs and lowered ride height to see if it is noticeable on the trail.

Me too! If I was there the rider would have been interviewed even if I had to follow him around all day! This would be great to know who it is riding around on this sled. Its possible they are sending this sled to all the dealers like they did in 14 Viper intro. But anyone who rides a sled all day long has very valuable info for sure.

Some people have nothing better to do...always trying to stir the damn pot!

I personally don’t like the look of that MTX seat on it...but that’s just me. Looks just like the Blue LE LTX’s from 2018..except it says SRX on it.

I suppose if your riding tight and twisties all the time...then perhaps you’d want the LIL lower height. But other than that...I’d rather have the normal ride height of the procross chassis...and the added grip of the 1.25” track(with my studs)...even if I lose a couple mph right at the top.

Unless they are down the middle I don't see any studs. If not it must spin like crazy!

I wonder if someone will make a similar REAL windshield that is blue to match the sled? That would look sweet!

Three things would get tossed on an SRX if I had one, the windscreen, the Tuner skis and the 1" track. I'd put on the Storm track and Mohawk blue skis to make for a perfect UPer machine.

I noticed the trail sticker too. I think the first photo was enhanced (not Photoshopped) with one of the many phone apps to make it look more brilliant. The 2nd photo wasn't and you can see the usual overcast.

Being Yamaha's R&D is in Minocqua, that's not a far drive. They have been known to test ride new stuff quite a bit in the UP. Snow Tech Magz also has a building near Ewen, MI so it's not uncommon to see them riding new stuff just like the 900T recently photo'd in the UP.

So what’s the major difference from the srx to
Winder .
1 . inch track
2 .suspension and geometry is set lower to the snow.

What else?
Gearing? Clutching?
