For anyone who's wondering about the new mid-height smoked sport windshield, I just installed one last week on my LTX-LE SW and it offers substantially better wind protection than the stock LE windshield. One added benefit is that you've got a lot more room behind the windshield to access the key to start the sled than the stock windshield. No issues with the hand guards hitting the windshield.

Not to bad though every time I see your sled the first thing I always notice is that Raceworks bumper! Like that.

Don, not sure how you have that much room with hand guards - but I'm a dummy - I never even thought to tilt the riser back a smidge. But my Procross guards were right up against it. I will have to borrow it back from my buddy and see if the bars are still comfortable pulled back enough to clear it. LOL Art.... I was going to mention that when you first posted your pics of the mid sport windshield hitting your Procross hand guards to move your riser back but I figured you'd already tried that. Like Homer Simpson says: Do-H!
I use the Rox 6"-8" adjustable risers that tilt like the stock riser and also allow another 2" to adjust the riser back if you don't like the rider forward position or want to sit back in a cruiser mode. With the riser tilted back I've got no clearance issues with the hand guards.

Just a few comments regarding the Racewerx bumper for the SideWinder:
I don't work for Racewerx or have any affiliation other than a long time customer of theirs.
The Racewerx Viper bumper will not fit the Sidewinder. Do not let your dealer or Yamaha tell you otherwise. The front clip of the Sidewinder is totally different than the Viper. There's been reports that Yamaha has been telling dealers that the Racewerx Viper bumper will fit the Sidewinder and this is not true.
Racewerx like a lot of other aftermarket companies is a one man operation and Doug has been trying to prioritize his product releases. Unfortunately the Sidewinder bumpers have been lower on his list than what we'd like. He is very passionate in what he does and won't release a product until he's completely satisfied with the final result and especially the end user is satisfied with the product and the installation.
Doug used my Sidewinder last year to come up with his initial bumper design for the SW and I think it works and looks great in pre-production form, but looking at it real close it's a little rough around the edges. Since the front clip on the SW is totally different than the Viper it turned out to be quite a challenge. There's a few tweaks that he'd still like to try to make the install easier and to clean up the look.
I talked to Doug today and the plan is to bring my sled to his shop next week for him to try and make the final adjustments to get the bumper into production this season. I agree with him that he should make the changes and am confident that once he's happy with the changes the production bumper will be worth the wait.
We're all a passionate bunch when it comes to our own sleds and it totally sucks for those guys that have been waiting but I believe that the final product will be worth the wait. Hang tight and what's the old saying...."Good things come to those who wait".

I have a 2018 sidewinder le
I wanna put a windshield on it
My issue is I have a Garmin to install above the gauges
Garmin 6”
My question is : is their enough space with the low sport windshield and the sport med windshield to install the gps and have it hidden front the weather
Same would apply for standard low windshield
I do not want the unit to be exposed

There is plenty of space with both the Sport Low and the Sport Medium for a good size GPS - I have an iPad mini with the TD mount and it is fully behind the sport low, the sport med is a bit higher shield. Here's an older pic of mine behind an AC medium shield, which is a tad higher than the sport low.
