Wouldn't it be something to have half his knowledge/experience at your finger tips. Whenever I want to be truly crushed I just replay his belt changing video.

To replace steering post? Pull side panels, pull hood. Remover riser bottom bolts and move riser and bars down to tank. Remove the top bolts and post guide plate. Standing in front of the sled on the left side, pull push pins that hold on Rubber tie rod boot. Slide boot back. There is one big nut at the base of steering post that needs to be removed and one tie rod bolt. Once it’s free pull it right out the top thru the throttle body air box hole. No need to pull any
Thing else.
Is there ANY way to check this ? Like a visual or anything ? I checked toe yesterday seemed ok about 1/4 light out in front . What's your thoughts on bar trying to tweak it a LITTLE ?
I'd like to double check things before I ride it and not sure part would come to me that fast since maybe this weekend we are going to try to ride ! , TY

Looks to me like the bars might just turned to the right a bit ? Thats how my Viper was delivered when new, had to keep the bars turned slightly to the right to go straight down the trail. Toe out was fine but bars were to the right so I realigned it myself centering the bars and set the toe 1/4" out . Easy enough to do.

So my first move would be to sit on the sled and turn the bars straight. Some will measure from the right bar end to a reference point on the sled like the center of the right rear axel and then repeat on the left side and turn bar so you have the same measurement on each side. You can also use ratchet straps from the bars to some point on the suspension to hold the bars in that position. If at this point the bars look level (to the ground) you can go ahead with the alignment. If not it seems as though you may have something bent.
To do an alignment you will need a good straight edge long enough to go from the rear axel to the front of your skies (8' for my LTX viper). I use a length of angle iron. Place your straight edge alongside the track and adjust the tie rods to set each ski parallel with the straight edge and then to your preferred toe out. I like going 1/8" out from parallel on each ski. You need to loosen the jam nuts on both ends of each tie rod before adjusting and tighten when done. Thats how I have always done it.

If you can make the bars look straight, but the skis go to the left or right still, you will have to adjust both tie bars either to the left or right. Sounds like you have adjusted for toe, so you just have to figure out if the bars are out if adjustment, or something is bent. If its alignment, just adjust each tie bar either to the left or right EQUALLLY. Just count your turns.
If you pull the mini skid at front and look up you will find a hole in casting that will line up with hole in steering frog which tie rods go to. It’s about 3/8in. Stick a drill bit or screwdriver in those holes in casting and frog. If bars are straight adjust skis if not something is bent.

You obviously must be talking under the sled correct ?If you pull the mini skid at front and look up you will find a hole in casting that will line up with hole in steering frog which tie rods go to. Just happen to be checking my alignment now. Rolled my sled last January and have been riding with either bent bars or steering post since. Connected straight edge to track rails with some spacers (1,2,3 blocks) and checked ski alignment which measured the same distance for each ski with 1/16-1/8 toe in as found. Did not want to use rubber track for straightedge. I have about 1" difference in bars to a point a back of tunnel. Its pretty visibly offset and low on the right side. I have about 1/4 play in steering also. The handle bar themselves look okay compared to a straight bar visually.
in process of removing hood and panels to access steering post. There is the plastic u-clamp on steering post bar that has a little play but it was not broken. was going to remove steering post and inspect for cracks or damage.
going to look for the alignment hole by tie rod ends before remove steering post first to see if skis are aligned as measured. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the picture, I have 2015 LTX-DX and the hole I have is 8MM (0.315 ") pin fit the tightest, which is just bigger than a 5/16 (0.312) . the 5/16 fit loose and would fall out if not holding it.
