anyone else notice a ridiculous amount of slop in the bars? i can flick the bars ends over 2in free play before the skis start to move. thinking maybe the lower pivot point tweaked. seems to have developed after free riding with a lot of side hilling on 1 ski this weekend.

I had this happen. There is a short tie rod at the end of the steering shaft. If you take the right side steering boot off you can see it. The nylon nut was not tight, no threads coming out of the top of the nut, I put lock tight on it and tightened it down now have 5-6 threads showing and steering is nice and tight. This could have been a dangerous situation.

Have it tightened right away, mine was close to 8 inches after a day of hard sledding which made for a scary ride, apparently a nut at the bottom of steering was backing out, dealer fixed in approximately 15 minutes and ite fine now.

Bushing
I noticed my steering slop got really bad after the give away ride. I dismantled it to fine the nut on the end of the steering post was loose and because it was loose the hole got all wobbled out in the aluminum bulkhead. I drilled out the wobbled hole so it was round again and then machined a new headed type hardened bushing for the threaded ball swivel too fit into. Added locktite to the nut the cranked everything tight and now I have less than 1/16" of play, better than new and more durable now to boot.
By the way, partial remove the rubber boot around the a-arms and tight rod to gain access to the nut on the bottom of the steering post.
