Can you check on your price , I looked at the web site and it says $60 each, just want to make sure
ger

Max Perf has them for $60 each I hear Yamaha has them listed finally here are the part numbers there are three versions
17 8FA-23760-00-00
SPRING ASSY 1 (K=2.1)
17 8FA-23760-10-00
SPRING ASSY 1 (K=1.9)
17 8FA-23760-20-00

The higher the number ie 1.7, 1.9, 2.1 the stiffer the spring
I was looking at another web site yesterday can't remember which but they had the titanium for $89 each ouch!
Suisse Sledder the other post you were referring too was related just a couple of the guy's mistook it for a clutch spring and exchanged a couple of posts.

ger,

I'll look for the receipt but if my memory is correct, I think it was an end of the season blow out because I also picked up a sled stand real cheap as well.

Difference between stock and straight rate

Deshkae, yeah there is suppose to be a big difference. I plan to install the straight rate this fall, but no experience with it yet. Several people on this site said it did make a BIG difference. Even SnowTech mentioned it on page 90 of their September 2003 issue. They actually said to try the straight rate springs first, before the links and sway bar. I already did the latter and it was not a noticable improvement, so on to the springs. According the magazine, the Yamaha part number is 8FA-23760-10.

Suisse..I only purchased the springs rather than the sway bar and links. I too will be installing them this fall.

Rock, my RX-1 was at the dealer when they received a shipment of the longer links and swaybar upgrade kit last March. So I had him install the stuff then before heading out on a trip. A little improvement, but not enough. I am torn between just the springs and the suspension kit from Maxximum Performance that has springs and rear shocks. One way or another though, I am doing the springs.

MXZ900....is it getting cold up there yet? I was looking at the forecast for the rest of the week and I believe they are predicting flurries :D

i ordered the springs from maxx and also the rear suspension set up---shocks, springs, transfer rods any one tried this set up?

rockland, it is snowing like crazy here right now!!!!!!!!! 39 degF this morning.

llb you will be very happy with that setup, I did it for a couple customers last winter.

900, i have a 12mm bar on now, maxx told me to leave it and they would send there new lighter springs to compansate for the heavier bar. he thought the standard ones would be to stiff with the heavier bar, all thier testing was done with a 10mm stock bar. they sounded pretty knowledgable so i took thier word on it and will wait for the lighter springs
