My Vector idles high all the time and I found the root casue of the problem... There is the littlest amound play between the throttle cable cam and the throttle shaft. This play does not always work itself out so that the cam returns to the stop screw. If I spike the throttle off of idle quickly, it will return to the stop screw and idle normally, but normal action will not get it to return properly. This problem always repeats more often in colder weather.
Just another thing to check. I was thinking of tack welding the two together. They are a press fit from the factory... However, it has never caused me a problem, just an annoyance.
