What hooks better on the lake and snow?
1.450 triggers 1” track
Studboy giant V pattern with 4 studs per bar two in outter belt
Or
Woodys pattern cover full inside of belt with a 3-5-3-5 pattern which on the 5 two studs in outter belt

Don’t be afraid to stud outside windows. Running 3 in a row and one empty then three in a row again on outside belts. 137” 1 1/4 track. Hook better with outside belts IMO
I’m not worried about studding the outside belts just interested in if people think the Big V has an advantage or not

V is always good. I can’t speak of the patterns you mention. I use my own V thingI’m not worried about studding the outside belts just interested in if people think the Big V has an advantage or not

Scratch lines are more important than the actual pattern. I prefer going outside the rails also as it gives you more lines, evens the weight in the track and spreads the load. You don’t want studs landing in the same path as one before it. Usually after 6 bars of all new scratch lines you can repeat pattern. Less studs you can go more bars without repeating scratch lines but at that point the track has rotated beyond that point anyways.
