Got about 10-12 inches last night. I just had to leave work this morning and let her rip.
I only spent about 40 minutes in the saddle but I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.LOL The motor feels strong but because of conditions I was not able to open it up like I wanted. (80 acre Rolling field and deep fluff plus falling snow...visability sucked.) Getting it airborn feels better than the RX-1. I know what some guys have been saying about pegging the throttle right off of idle and there being a hesitation but riding it I only noticed how fast it spooled up....The ergos are kick butt and because of the snow conditions I was standing or one knee on the seat quite a bit. Where I could get down to the ground the sled really pulled hard. No disapointments. Can't wait to spend a whole day on it.

I am curious about the bog thing, why would it bog with EFI.

We got about 8 inches here in Cadillac, went out on my attak and put 50 miles on this morning. The whole sled felt perfect. No bog. Hunters were lookin at me funny, but we can share the woods eh???

Your not suppose to be riding during hunting season. Well at least during the Day. If you go out at night your fine. The trails are closed until December first.

AS a hunter and a sledder I see both sides.

when the sled is idling in my garage and I blip the throttle real fast it feels like the sled would stall. I don't know if it means anything because I never noticed it today riding.
JTS- Your right. Hunting season is only 2 weeks long and guys look forward to it all year. You can ride during firearm deer season but I believe it is after shooting hours in the evening or on private land.

In Michigan it is ok to ride between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, and after sunset, during Deer Season. I'm no longer a hunter, but I feel that those guys only have 2- weeks so let's not bother them in their glory... besides they are carrying high powered rifles

 Are you for real Chis? LOL Gaylord got that much snow!? Looks like I 'll have to visit you on my way to Alpena tomorrow and try your sled out :tg:

Seriously, glad you got to run it before Thanksgiving. It stinks making payments on a sled you can't ride.

Especially when you might need to use your snowmobile, instead of that 4-wheeler.

Hey Brain. Yes in town we have about 6 or 7 inches. But the pictures are @ my friends house which is about 3 miles west of Vanderbilt, South of the Chandler hills area. Some pockets where the snow blew are maybe 18" deep. Now as long as we don't warm up much this will be a great start to the season. How much did you get? I saw on John Dee that parts of the North shore are looking white. ;)!

I'm thinking more for safety reasons. Outside of some specific areas where I would ride hunters aren't really an issue. They shouldn't be right on the trail anyway. A lot of areas in Tug theres no hunting/not frequented by hunters. Either way as a hunter I don't mind hearing things like sleds or quads or tractors in the woods. A lot of times the deer just ignore them like they do cars but occassionally they're good for kicking the deer around on a slow day.

YES>>the trails are closed, but you can ride fireroads, etc. BUT...I agree keep out of the woods until after firearms season you will be less of a target that way/ ;)!
