Doesn't sound like the normal adjective laden Trax talk though, reserved for other brands..'impressive' ...really? Based on the 1049...really? I think the only comparo is they are 3 cylinders. ..it ain't the 973 vector nor the 1049 nytro/viper motor....it is new and is HUGE!!
This is the kind of time you let loose with the adjectives. ...like great for the sport...awesome....most powerful production sled ever....etc.etc.etc....just my humble opinion..horsepower and horsepower leading companies tend to sell and generate lots of interest and opinions on both sides...
Stock block, shorter stroke, low compression pistons = turbo motor. Yamaha said the last three hole was a new design, The last Apex engine a new design. You read way to much into it.
T-Cat was in its final displacement a 998 but they called it a 1000. Cat likes to round out the number.
998 = 1000 cc Cat, Yamaha same motor!
