Has anyone had any trouble with the rubber membrane on the slides swelling to the point where they no longer fit under the cap properly. All 4 of mine did this and now I had to litterally stuff the rubber under to get the cap on. I have lost power also. I think the slides are no longer opening all the way because the membranes are kinked. I may have to get new slides for this thing unless anyone else has any ideas. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Buck

carbs

i have seen this before only on one carb we put it out side at -20 to shrink it back down or they can be put in the freezer for 1/2 hour. when we went to get it replaced it had went back to normal on its owen :? this happens with some fuel aditives

its important that nothing but gasoline touches the rubber
dont try to clean them with anything as they will swell-esp things like brake cleaner etc-sometimes if too much drygas(alcohol)is added to the fuel in the tank this will happen-take them out and let them dry out overnite then get them really cold, put a little dab of grease around the carb top where they seat this will hold them in place alittle better
