Ted Jannetty

I have been Ice and grass racing in the past and the whining, complaining and fighting are not for me, too much politics and heated tempers when they lose.

I will play on the side all day and shake hands, laugh, and have a great time.

14.5 pounds of boost is about 250 to 260 hp whcih is equal to a PRO1000 winner at the world series. I don't know what teds sled weights but i'm betting it's over 725. That's 100 pounds more. There is no way he can run 5.5.

the best time / MPH I've seen run was by NEON Phil. He ran 5.6 a 127 mph. That was on 20 plus pounds of boost.

I just read a post on AMSNOW. It sounds like Mike Hills and a bunch of guys are coming from out east for the Phatman.

If your sled is as quick as you guys claim you should flat out make the trip out. adirondac blue bring that CPR turbo of yours to it's going to be a blast.

14.5 psi boost is 280 hp.

I just have a nack for making use of all the power I make.

It is not how much power you have, it is what you do with it that counts.

Having 20 psi of boost does NOT mean you are faster, I already proved that I beat guys with 24 psi boost easily.

Like I said the quickest guys in the Country will be at the PhatMan. If your sled is beating all these guys running big boost you need to come out to Michigan and continue the #*$&@ kicking.

he guys out here have done it on race timers at race events against other pro's. Phil ran a 4.70 at Tilberry when he won the "King of the trail sled shoot out". I've watched phil beat up on all most everythign out there with the exception of the pro race sleds running 5.5 and under in 660.

14.5 pounds of boost isn't going to beat Phil PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your Right Im Wrong have a nice day.

I don't come in here to argue with anyone, People ask questions, I answer them 100% honestly, so if that is what your looking for you came to the wrong place.

I have been drag racing and building fast cars since I was 16 years old I am 41, for the last 20 years 50+ hours a week, I have owned and operated www.jannettyracing.com So I build cars, Trucks, motorcylces, snowmobiles, tractors, go carts, jr. dragsters R/C cars, or anything that burns some sort of fuel.

People travel from all over the United States to have Jannetty Racing work on there vehicles.

I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else.

I am a self taught mechanical engineer there isn't anything I don't know something about, I live, eat, breath, and sleep, science and physics.

I have been living with na sayers all my life nothing new here, there is always one guy that doesn't believe my stuff runs as good as it does because there buddy has this or that and can't run that fast.

My camaro 355 small block tunnel ram 2 750 carbs roller cam aluminum heads OLD School parts that are so outdated it is rediculous, 5 speed manual 5.38 gears 10.5 tires 3400 lb. steel car registered and insured for street duty, ran 9.82 136 mph 13 years ago.

And I heard it all NO WAY, your got NOS, that's no 355, that car can't weigh 3400 lb. Yada yada yada.

If you can't figure out how I am doing it your not smart enough to argue with me.

I wasn't looking to Argue. I've watched your videos and your sled runs really good. In my opinion at 14.5 pounds your not going to beat guys that run more boost that also know how to set a sled up.

I can tell you this if you came out here and beat the guys that have spent 3 years testing tuning and racing there turbos at the 14.5 boost level your running you would be able to sell your setup to tons of guys.

Take it easy

You see, that is just it.

I don't do this to sell anything to anyone or prove anything to anyone I do it for the love of the Hobby, that is what it is for me a Hobby.

Win or lose I am still having a blast.

This Hobby is my stress reliever.

All my buddies asked me for years, When you coming out with something?
My reply was, you don't want me to come out, I will ruin it for you and you will quit racing.
They laughed, so I came out, guess what?
They quit racing. :D

Oh yeah, it doesn't take me 3 years to figure things out, a couple weeks will do.

Dirk if you relized about efficentcy in an engine its everything.
Some combos can make big boost but not power.
Whats the use of running boost if its all going out the exhaust?
One of my customers cars runs 23 psi with his ATI Procharger F1r on his car,its set a best of 8.54 in 1/5 on DOT tires and 3200 lbs.
His comp. has same ci engine, same supercharger same heads same everything ecept cam.
He runs 30 lbs of boost, BUT he only runs a best of 8.89 et in 1/4 mile.
Most of his power is going out of the tailipes.
Hense his engine or combo isnt as efficient as the others.
Its not allways make the most power, its using what you have and making it work for you.

I have been to Teds website, and Ill tell you ,there is alot I could learn from him.

I've spent a lot of time working on turbo's for the RX-1. I've also spent a lot of time on the Dyno with Turbo RX-1's. Using that information we've translated huge improvements on the track. I'm not some idiot that doesn't know anything trying to screw with Ted.

Like I said the main reason i posted was I wanted to see Ted's sled Run against the guys running good here in michigan.

Well if you ever have the time to dedicate to it You'd do very well. It's to bad you live so far away it would have been great to see you run these guys out here. keep up the good work. Guys dedicated to making Yamaha's run on top are few and far between!!! :D :D

Good point Apex,

Something a Dyno can't measure is the engines ability to accelerate.
We have seen similar engine combos and the one with more power is still a turd and won't accelerate.

I have mastered the acceleration part this is what I do for a living.

You guys have to think about something here the stuff these guys are doing with these sleds in just the past 3 years, I have been doing all my adult life with cars, it is old hat for me.

Its also worth mentioning there is a difference between total boost pressure and the amount the turbo is flowing. Just because Ted isn't running 20 psi doesn't mean he isn't moving as much air as a guy running 20.
