I got a 07 gt, is the link breaking on these? Mine didn't break, I don't drive like jimmy blaze, but I drive hard on trails and like to hit jumps and rip diches and sh---t. I don't want the thing letting go on one of my few trips to go. What am I to do? Wait for the update or update it mtself. 50$ part or messed up trip?!!!? You know. I don't care about warrantey, recall, I own the sled I need it to run when I want it to run. That's why I bought the yamy, I thought it woud go. So if the link breaks while I'm on a trip my sled sucks. I doubt if i canget it fixed on thr trail or nearby. SO WhAtZ YAMaHa dOO'iN? for the fazer owners?
I have the same Question. Mine is fine right now but I don't want it to break when I'm out riding.
Well I went to the grassdrags yesterday. I looked at the 08's and there wasn't anything different. Looked just like the 07's. Suspension wise, but they did have the plastic covering up the tunnel.

Hmmmm. I've been seeing alot of threads on this subject, and of coarse there are alot of difrent scinarios for whatz being done about it. I'm going to talk to the mech at the dealer I bought it from but probably not for a week or so cause he's getting married to the dealers daughter and I hear they're very busy. I also want to ask him about the fan and the hole. I like the hole open for looks and seeing under the sled but it does get sloppy on the running boards. I have no problem kicking the broken up ice off the boards but am concerned that some of these huge hard frozen pieces that line the insides of the tunnel could break away and travel on top of the track and hit the cooler at the front and damage that. If snow wasn't hitting the muffler there wouldn't be all this ice under the tunnel and the risk would be reduced and it would weigh less too and not be as messy on the boards. So maybe I've talked myself into closing it up. I hope it doesn't get too hot, but everyone says it's not a problem. Anyway grass drags sound fun, but it's in the eighty's here and I'd like it to get cooler before I start doing that. I do think I most definatly want to get that billet link thou, it looks strong and I'd hate for mine to break.
If that link is available I want to buy it.Sick of waiting around for the powers to figure out what is going on and hate begging my dealer to figure it out.Anyone have a part# for the Billet link so I can just buy it?

I was there and saw the new part on the white 08. I asked the dealer and was unsure about the new part. New Yamaha dealer though so we will see!zook said:Well I went to the grassdrags yesterday. Yeah-- it was a hot day yesterday here in NH also, like 84. They must have been melting some hifax.
Roswell-- I must have miss the white one. Not very much of a Yamaha turnout !!
