When you run on PINKS, you are not on the clock. It is like street racing. They start you with hand signals. They used the clocks for the Simmons CPR sled and it was the first time in the shows history that the clocks were turned on. The CPR sled was there to try to set a new record but the crew couldnt get the sled hooked up. Everytime to turbo would start making a lot of power it would start spinning the track. The crowd LOVED it. They kept saying to us "They go HOW fast? Well thats faster than my pro stock Mustang." It was a REAL good time.

Terry, sorry, I forgot to warn you about the deer. Usually, the deer problem is in southern Ill. From the looks of it, you may be able to get away with just a front bumper.

I believe the best time on the turbo sled was 8.29 @ 160 something.
All my time runs were in the low to mid 10's as traction was not good, and I made many lines down the track close to the wall.
The turbo sled and I ran later in the evening after some fast slick cars, and ran my best time of 9.86 @ 129.8mph.

The deer was in the middle of both lanes, and was facing the ditch side. I moved into the left lane on the brakes, and the deer turned, and walked right in front of me before I could get the truck slowed down.
Was a nice big buck too. Dodge - 1 / Deer - 0

After we left the track, we decided to go out to eat. The waitress fell in love

you can fix that damage for 1/2 of what the insurance says it gonna cost. insurance pays full list price on everything they repair. a/c condensor will need to be changed no matter what if it took damage but the air/air rad (intercooler) can be welded and pressure tested.
of course now is the time for a oversize intercooler if you feel the need for power...................

That is Dan Wade. He is one of the drivers for Jeff Simmon. Jeff took his sled to Texas to try and set the new record on his new turbo'ed sled. He did not set the record on Saturday afternoon.
