Yup, this is the second Trail Tank I have pushed past 8000 miles. The first was sold with over 12,000 on it.

This may be the real reason why Yamaha is not selling the Apex anymore. We all have a good one, and don't need another. (sounds like Maytag)

At least I know I can still wait for the next Japanese built Yamaha to come out. As I plan on pushing this well past 9000 miles by April.

Get out there and ride guys!

I turned over 10 000mi (16 000km) on my 2011 XTX last week. Sled performs better than new. Put on almost 1000mi in three days with a bunch of 18y/0 kids on 800 etec Ski-Donts. I led the group all three days, and just kept hearing over and over again “I can’t believe how you can get that thing around corners like that!” Lol I’m almost 40, and had no issues keeping the young lads in the mirror. Their collective eyes were wide open by the end of the third day. Good times.

I have 2 of them. Contemplating buying a third. Too many low mileage perfect condition examples out there.

Do it..before they'r gone. I drove thousands of miles to get my XTX vector leftover.

No doubt. I should stop being amazed at used sleds that have yet to make it past the 500 mile break in period.

I have one buddy in my office, that I have helped buy a cherry used sled twice the past two years. He has yet to put a mile on either sled and will sell them before doing so. He gets the bug in the fall, and then never prioritizes riding during the season. Some people need to get their priorities straight. But I don't mind picking up low mileage cherries for my buddies and myself!

Well... maybe that's the reason. While I love my apex for long tours (it has 23000km), its pretty hard to beat true rider forward lightweight machines in the twisty trails. No doubt you can make them rail through the corners setting them up (13mm sway bar, snowtrackers, low preload in the front ,etc), but you're probably a skilled driver, and you're probably working harder than most to keep that ski down. Put those young 18 y/o kids riding etecs or pro-R's on your apex and they'll probably be in the bush. lol

over 23000 km on the 2011 apex xtx that my gf now rides and was passing those doo riders in the chop at the end of last season like there where sitting still on the old trail tank. got almost 900 km on the non current 2016 apex xtx i picked up in the fall and it will be just as good if not better than the 11 once it get it set how i want.

My Apex had that exact mileage when unloaded up in Park Falls this past weekend Biff. 270 trouble free miles. Even lined up against my friends dads 2012 shorter track Apex on lake from like 70MPH roll on. He pulled a hair on me in beginning, a foot or two. His has less than 2500mi on it I believe. Although he weighs about 50lbs more than me, I pulled away on top end, not by much, but 2-3MPH. I was seeing 103-104 on speedo, pulled 4-5' on him in that time. Still had more MPH left if I'd of stayed in it, although probably not much, I'd guess 106-108 would be it, stock clutching.

Sorry, I have shared this before. But my favorite dash pic from the XTX.

As someone else said, drop your handheld GPS in the pocket of your Ricky Racer friends with the inaccurate dreamometer and crush their souls when they are lucky if they break 100mph. GPS is the dream killer!

I saw a used 2019 Renegade XRS Ace 900 Turbo on Facebook Marketplace yesterday with 500 miles and 4 years of warranty on it! When those drop below $10K, it may make someone switch to the dark side.

One of the “yutes” I was leading told me his 800 etec would run 200 kph........I just smiled and said “we should line up sometime young lad”. He must think his loud fart can makes his sled really fast. Lol

My original 2006 GT now has 16,000 miles on it. About 10,000 of them are Northern Quebec to-the-handlebar miles. Sure I did a few things to it, but the motor runs like the day I bought it. Bought another 06 GT with only 2500 miles on it and a third ER with 5000. Trust me I get it that they don't make these because they are a long lasting unit. At my age I will be riding a GT for a long time and will be happy/! Sure I would like a new SRX but really $18k?

The 11 XTX I picked up this year with 775 miles on it, I
have now put 1575 on it so far this year and loving every minute of it.
