This will make u smile...arctic cat...lol

Biggest difference I see is Cat owned up to a problem Yamaha looks the other way and says what problem!

Come on guys when Yamaha builds a perfect sled then maybe one has room to talk.

Yamaha's first year sled's work, Cat's don't. Big difference from not working to short slide life or hot grip's that didn't get hot enough for every one. Yamaha usually has the big item's covered and that takes year's of development and is one of the reason's it takes them longer to bring something new to market. There is a reason Yamaha is the only sled mfg that has not been sold, bought out or in financial trouble at some point in time. My new 12 Apex is the most refined sled on the snow IMO? When I park my sled next to a sled built by another MFG it just blows my mind how Yamaha can even come close in price when compared to the poor quality and workmanship that is out there. The rush to beat some one to market is Cat and Doo's biggest down fall. It sell's sled's but this is what you get, junk and warranty work. In the end they sell a lot of sled's and make no money, bad for them and the consumer.

You summed up why people buy yamaha.Quality, reliabilty, bang for your buck.Well put.

That's nothing. How about the Service Bulletin on the mounting of the fuel filter? Mounted incorrectly the fuel line rubs on the jackshaft. Guess what happens next?

How come I didn,t get a pair of "blue sunglasses" when I got my new Yamaha sled ??? LOL You guys crack me up. :4STroke: :jump:

Wait a minute...the guys that bought one of these coming from yamaha said there is no problems with them. Maybe the other forum posting issue is not all bs like they say.......

Yeah I've been reading about those reverse problems on HCS. Not alot of happy owners out there. The kinking tunnel on the longtrack versions would also be a big negative.

I see this as what happens when you build something to light something gotta give. Make it durable and its heavier just the way it is and why I ride Yamaha. I will give Cat credit though for admitting they have a problem and sending out letters to the owners.

Some of the boys that jumped ship are over at Hardcoresledder. Big problems with slider wear, blowing idler wheels, fuel leaks, kinked tunnels, bad top end in stock form and only fair in the ride and handling dept!!! I am glad I didn't buy one especially with the bad winter we are having!!! The best thing about the Turbo AC is its potential to be a rocketship.

Monte on here has a pic of another one of these new arctic cats burned to the ground on the trail. I sure wouldn't want to be out on the trail with a sled that has a good chance of catching on fire

As a former Yamaha owner, I would have ignored this post...As an new AC owner (2011), so far my M8 has made everything I do easier to do over my Nytro.

Doesn't make me smile. Wouldn't make me smile if Yamaha had problems and I were in the AC forums. This sport has some of the biggest fanboys I have ever seen. Why does everyone get off on other peoples misfortune?

I feel bad for all of the new AC owners out there. Maybe AC rushed this sled to production too soon. Give them a season or two, this thing has the potential to be an amazing sled. Cat'll make it right.

My Yamaha was better quality in every way. I still say Yamaha has the best quality, fit, and finish. My AC blows it away in handling, stock horsepower, power transfer, track (how're those power claws working out for everyone?), and weight. To "fix" those issues on my Nytro would have cost me more than my new M8 did using the Nytro in trade.
