- Yamaha sr viper 15 ltx dx, mpi 190 turbo, straight line header, 38" mtx front end, mtx steering, mtx seat, xtx 141" skid and 2.25" power claw track
2019 sidewinder xtx le, sleeping for now
This kit promised a lot, so far I am only seeing some improvement in mid range, besides the lower engagement, top end is still 88mph like before and absolutely no fuel economy gains, not bitching, just want it set up right.Yes

I'm in the same vote as you. Hitting rev limiter on take off and I can hit 90 down a road but only about 80 on trail. I do have the 1.75 track so that's not doing me any favours. I'm hitting 8000rpm at 60mph....89-9000 wide open down the trail at 80mph

Only way you will see more speed is better conditions or more power. Unless clutching is really off there is no magic waiting there. With all my mods best I saw at times was 90. Some spots were good for 100mph + but it was rare and it took a long run to do it.

Does 8000rpms at 60mpb sound normal ? I do have the ltx le so it may have lower gearing

That seems a bit high but depends on your throttle position. Thats about normal cruising speed on the grades and forest roads. I am geared so wont be same at cruising speed.

I must have the 21/49 gears...cause yes that was normal cruising speed down at a railbed and it was sitting at 79-8000 rpm...not to mention it seems terrible on fuel. Do you think it would be worth switching to the 24-50 gears ?

Depends what your after. I have very high gearing but it really did not gain me any top end. Just the potential. What rpm are you at full throttle and a good long run?I must have the 21/49 gears...cause yes that was normal cruising speed down at a railbed and it was sitting at 79-8000 rpm...not to mention it seems terrible on fuel.
