If you add the numbers together like 6-1 that would be 70 degrees. They are setup to go from 10 to 120 degrees of wrap.

Just installed the new weights, glide washers, new secondary spring, 911 cover, and put on a new Gates belt and added the shims to the back of secondary.
Smooth engagement, no clutch rattle, seems really good bottom, mid, and top.
Only thing is, the belt squeels quite a bit at idle and when taking off slow sometimes.
What's the fix to this? Thanks

Sounds like your belt deflection is to tight. Is the gates belt equivalent to the 8dn or original 8jp. Might have to do something with the secondary shims just depends on what belt you are running. Also if you lift the back of the sled off the ground does your track creep at idle? If it does than you belt is to tight.

Finally installed the big venom clutch kit, engagement is definitely lower, mid range and top rpm seem to be good but I keep hitting the rev limiter on hard take off, intake and can are my only mods, the heel of the weight already has the heaviest set screw, wondering if I can put more weight in by adding a short set screw in from of the long one.

It's the 8dn equivalent. Yes it creeps. Wondering if I should've took the really thin washer out before I put the new ones on.
Also on the 911 cover adjuster, I have it set just so its touching the cover.

Did you have Lonn set up the weights for you? Finally installed the big venom clutch kit, engagement is definitely lower, mid range and top rpm seem to be good but I keep hitting the rev limiter on hard take off, intake and can are my only mods, the heel of the weight already has the heaviest set screw, wondering if I can put more weight in by adding a short set screw in from of the long one.

I know that there should be 2 shims on each of the three bolts on the back side of the secondary with the 8dn and NOS said there should be a a real small gap between the primary sheive and belt. Is your belt riding up over the top of secondary to far? It's the 8dn equivalent. Yes it creeps. Wondering if I should've took the really thin washer out before I put the new ones on.

Seems like it to me. Just guessing but I'd say almost 1/4" above.I know that there should be 2 shims on each of the three bolts on the back side of the secondary with the 8dn and NOS said there should be a a real small gap between the primary sheive and belt. That sounds like way to much you should barely see the grooves over the top of sheives. Your belt is way to tight. If you push down on the belt halfway distance between both clutches you should have a cpl inches. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG. You might want to buy an osp belt adjuster. Than you won't need shim washers on the back of secondary as you take them three bolts out.Seems like it to me. Just guessing but I'd say almost 1/4" above.

I was told with the 8DN belt the grooves would be just above the top of secondary. I have not converted mine yet but that's what I've read here. Either way, the issue you describe reflects that it's too tight. Adjustment would be super easy with OSP tool but to adjust that I think you need to pull secondary and adjust washers on the back side so belt is not so tight....

You can add the 1/4 set screw before the original set screw, make sure you swing the weight thru the entire movement checking clearance. You will only have about 1/16" clearance between the set screw and the casting support with the right combination.

Yep. Got er now! Took the stock washers out and put just the ones that came with the belt from Thunder Products. Should've did that right away, thought I was supposed to add them and not replace, but good now!I was told with the 8DN belt the grooves would be just above the top of secondary. Set at 6-2. Max RPM on recall was 9045. Hard to test in 8" of soft powder when you get on it and it spins down to the grass.

How thick are the washers for the gates belt? I tried to buy a Gates Belt from Thunder Products but my clutch kit had already been sent out. I ended up getting one somewhere else but of course with no washers. I will need to adjust the Secondary but I am not sure what size of washers to use?

Not sure on the thickness, but they are about 2x as thick as the original ones
