2014 SR Viper XTX SE (Sold)
I finally have the kit installed. With the weather tested time has not come yet. The little bit it did do was in a virgin field. Seemed to go to 9050 off the line spinning and right around 8900 at wot. Hopefully I can get on some packed snow this week. Should I be at a 6-1 or 3-3 wrap. Sled is a 129 standard model no mods.

So this kit should fix my xtx hitting the Rev limiter on launch?

Thanks for the tips guys. Sled pulls hard to mid 90s and I hit 99 on a good trail and ran out of room. I feel confident it will do 100+. I was running with 800 poos, they had me off the line but at a rolling start I could stay just ahead until 90 when the bigger hp took over. Rpms ran to 9100 of the line and back shifted to 8900 or so. This is with the 3/4- aluminum- steel with smaller washer and 3-3 wrap. Any suggestions from there? What could I expect with the 6-1? Still happy and will probably leave it be.

6-1 will be a little better off the line and midrange but might give up a little on top end. I always ran 6-1. My brother has my viper now and had 103 on perfect conditions. He's 260# dressed.

So perfect video got me right through the install better then my service manual could. I'm still not engaging until around 3550 rpm. Took it around the yard and still hitting the Rev limiter on launch. Did I do something wrong??Thunder Products has a clutch kit now just for the Vipers! The kit is called the Big Venom Viper kit and uses the Heavy Hitter weights that have been around for years which I have used in the RX-1's, Apex and Nytro myself....now my Viper. Lot of testing went into this kit to improve the whole range of performance for the guy who wants good fuel mileage.... to the guy who wants to rail the trail...to the guy going off-trail thru the trees.
These Heavy Hitter weights are balanced out perfectly and the whole kit will come with Heavy Hitter weights with all the hardware for adjustments after more miles and break-in.... (if and when needed), Thunder Products glide washer kit to protect the primary clutch cover (keeps the primary spring from twisting and breaking) and a new secondary spring that not only eliminates the coil bind problem but also makes this kit have very low engagement, pull hard from bottom end to top end and the best part is getting much better fuel economy. The kit complete is $295
Here is an installation video to show you how easy the install is.

Set your weights up like this.....
Heel - 1/4 inch allen buried in the heel followed by a 3/4 allen for a total of 1 inch in the heel.
Middle 3/8 steel
Tip 3/8 steel with a thick washer.
Take out 1 glide washer by primary spring.
Send me your setup or post a picture

So I got out on the sled with the kit installed. Pulls pretty damn hard up to 145, then struggles to get to 156. Not sure if it was conditions or what, but stock clutching pulled pretty well consistent to 159. RPMS were at 8750 with kit installed which is where lonn said it should be...I think, if I remember correctly lol. But definitely pulls a lot harder just past mid range but then falls on its face. Like I said, it could've been conditions...trails were groomed very well and straight (old rail line) but it was freezing rain for a bit before I started making long pulls. There was no fluff, it was actually getting sticky...so maybe that's why idk. Going to be doing more riding this weekend and will have a lake with lots of room to do some more long pulls in fresher snow. Also I've noticed my 8JP belt is almost flush with top of secondary. I'm thinking I should maybe add a spacer to each bolt...what do you guys think?
