i know you do something then it self adjusts, but whats the something?

ok i will chime in. if it works the same as the xt350 one, you need to pull the bolt off of the endof it. then you need a small flat screwdriver to go into the hole. the screwdriver lets you turn the spring back, releasing the tension on the timing chain guide. then you bolt it down and release the screwdriver. install the cap bolt and it should self adjust from there if it is good.
have only done this once myself so i hope someone else comfirms this.
