To all that received chaincase shims!

You got the metal fingers too? I think I'll do the same even if they perhaps updated the bushing material for '22. Keep original as spare or sell it in winter to someone who is stuck with back ordered parts.

Since 21T is stock I though the 22T only fit after the chain stretch a little with some miles?

I put a 22 top with new chain in. This was 2 years ago. No problem. It’s tight going in and seems way to tight. But it’s fine. Keep tension proper and don’t hammer the #*$&@ out of it for 100 miles or so. At 500 retension it. This is on a brand new chain I’m speaking of.

Says " gen 2 " did they change them for some reason?
I don’t know. I just ordered it the day I ordered new sled. Lol. That’s what came in the mail. Looks awesome. I only saw pics of them so I don’t know what different?

The new gear has a little looser tolerance and has the oil holes drilled out. Dave (DMC) is about the best aftermarket company I have dealt with. Very professional.

Is it still safe to run the gen 1 gear or need we machine the bushing for looser tolerance?

If your sled shifts into reverse and back don't worry. It's my guess that arctic cat hasn't the tightest manufacturing tolerances and the change was made to accommodate bigger shafts.

I read all I could find for 22T vs stock 21T. Adds 5mph on top end for boosted sleds. Is your stock or boosted? I couldn't find any other advantage.
