I think the OFSC and the MTO should have a look at the way Saskatchewan does buisness and take a few tips , clearly the rider population seems satisfied

Sure hope someone can run this Province a lot better than Dolton did!!
Can't believe he was in power as long as he was, but then again, look at our other choices we had to pick from!![Censored #$%&* #$%&*](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/censored.gif)

I was born in St. Thomas and moved to New Liskeard when I was 14. Met my wife there and moved west in 1980 and never looked back. I do miss the snow there. There were no trails when we lived there. We made our own. I think you guys should start a petition and start it at the club level. Maybe you would have a chance to change something.

Can anyone in New Brunswick comment on the results of this yearly ride?

All good points but I think we're getting away from the subject . Permit costs in Ontario and what can be done about it , because if it keeps going the way it's going there won't be enough permit funds to put a tank of fuel in one groomer in Ontario because slowly but surely the remaining loyal riders are getting fed up and are going to join the non compliant side which is now at 40%. Revamping and adding another tier( regional permits) to the already not so efficent system is not a solution at all , the formation of regions above districts is just creating more work and it will have to have a effect on cost . For the life of me I really can't see why the obvious is being missed , instead of adding regions to the mix why not jusy bring permits and val.tags together and look at the possibilty of including insurance to the mix , one stop shopping and no permit sales for the OFSC to worry about, which should decrease OFSC work load , however a increase of work on the MTO side . In any case one stop shopping is definitly worth looking at >YammyRX1 said:Interesting read - http://snowgoercanada.com/snow-goer-can ... owmobiling

But to do that the government has to be involved and what better way than get them on the trails and have them meet the people who benifit from the sport.

40%? Is that a guess or has it been proven?
On the second bold, have you or anyone else looked into that to see if that is even possible in Ontario?
I like the idea a lot, (except the Gov't part, but it doesn't sound like you can have one without the other?) especially if the non compliant is truly 40%, but there is no sense continuing on with this idea if it is not possible, legal or otherwise to do in Ontario?
they are looking at the val tag also, but this would be in the mto's hand's,its easy for us to say this and that but if it were that easy, you would think it would of changed by now

YES IRV! that 40% figure is on the list of stats on the OFSC site and it was mentioned two years ago at he AGM .pat the rat said:they are looking at the val tag also, but this would be in the mto's hand's,its easy for us to say this and that but if it were that easy, you would think it would of changed by now
As for the legal process what would be illegal about combining the permits and val.tags ? Besides the government changes stuff all the time to suit their needs . Irv this has been said before in this thread do you read anything or just pick and choose and suggest road blocks ?Like I told you before if your not part of the solution your part of the problem
