As for the legal process what would be illegal about combining the permits and val.tags ? Besides the government changes stuff all the time to suit their needs . Irv this has been said before in this thread do you read anything or just pick and choose and suggest road blocks ?Like I told you before if your not part of the solution your part of the problem

lmao, i can read just fine, if you think that the combination of val tags and permits and insurance will work than all the power to you, that will never come to pass in Ontario
i agree the OFSC is not perfect but no matter changes may occur they will not please everyone

Personally, I am not sure what TB wants?

On one hand he is complaining 40% of the riders in Ontario are not buying passes, and on the other he calls me his hero, sarcastically of course, and that I am part of the problem because I went out and bought passes for my 2 sleds?
Is anyone else confused by all this, or am I the only one that has reading comprehension issues?

I don't know if the OFSC yearly statement was ever linked here but it's got some interesting information in there. I thought I read somewhere that we receive $3,000,000 from the government in gas taxes but OFSC does not get it. Does anyone know where that statement came from?

What economics? How come SIMULAR programs are working in other provinces like Quebec and Newbruinswick is Ontario exclusive ?
I guess you'd rather keep increasing the price until no one will buy then what have you got , the numbers are there and that's exactly whats happening , this isn't just my opinion it's fact , and I know some people are just tired of waiting for the snow and dropping out for that reason aswell , however not just my comments but do a count on this thread alone the majority are disatisfied with permit costs .So one stop shopping is just an idea , whats yours is it any better , the bottom line is not weather you or I feel it's affordable it's the majority of the riders that feel its not and thats reflected in this post ,so unless you have a better idea I wouldn't be so quick to shut down other people's ideas

What about using the Val tag idea but allowing exemptions or price reductions for sleds that are used mainly for fishing and hunting? I'm not sure how it would be implemented but don't we have special plates for farm vehicles even though they are used ocassionally for non farm related trips and they share the same roads? Better to get everyone registered and collect something rather than just calling them 'outlaws' and trying to police it.

Well the majority here don't agree , it's gotten out of hand . Snowmobiling was meant to be affordable to everyone and it still is in some places , but here in Ontario it's becomming a sport only for the rich .
