If it´s working as I have plannned it will just take some seconds to disconnect/connect the function of the swaybar .
Its really simple. Here's the one I made for mine a couple of years ago.
So you just let one link hang?I would worry the end would get hung up on a rock since ski could go up and end could go down.

Meh. We have deep snow. Besides, if you strike a rock, the sway bar will be the least of your worries. The chances of a rock just hitting the end of the bar is pretty remote. It's also possible to make 2 links and swing the sway bar up. The unfortunate thing about the phazer is that it sits so low.cannondale27 said:So you just let one link hang?I would worry the end would get hung up on a rock since ski could go up and end could go down.

I have been thinking of doing a quick release on my swaybar on my Grizzly for a while. Going to give this a try. I had taken the swaybar off for awhile last year, and the rock crawling capabilities of the Grizz with the swaybar off was amazing.
Chris600 - I would like to see a pic of your version as well.

I will see what I will do. But the first test is now to remove the swaybar and mount Fox Float 2.
I know that on Nytro MTX -12 there is no swaybar. But they had it on the older ones, does someone knows what changes was made so they could remove it? Or did they just remove it?

Well I have been curious about riding with no sway bar, so I took it off this afternoon. In the Garage it has a much lighter feel to the sled. It seems like it will take up the bumps a lot better?
Anyone taken it off have an Idea of what PSI to run my float's at?
I was running them at 55psi in the main and 150 in the evol chamber. Brought it up to 70 in the main thinking that would be stiff enough for no longer having the bar.

Well I think I will be putting the sway bar back on for tomorrow's ride!
Got to use my roll over valve though!
I will need to take some time playing with the air pressure but it makes he soo easy to lay it on its side.

So the loss of cornering wasnt worth gain in bumps?

Not at 70PSI, when I have time to play with it and ride during day light to see what is going on I will pull it off again and play with the shocks to see if I can get it to work well.
It made it a lot of fun, was able to hold it up on one ski for a long time! There was much more of a difference then I was expecting, that may be why I was pulling the sled over too much. I was only out for 20 or so minutes.
Definitely going to peruse this more.

should mount gopro cameras on front bumper looking at each A arm and ski while cornering at different speeds to get some real time data.

Cannondale I finally experienced this a bunch first hand last weekend. It was really strange once I paid attention to it. Hitting jumps a little crooked and then landing tilted to one side is downright dangerous on the Phazer. Its like it just wanted to stay leaned over to one side after you land.
I have made up my mind and am going to try removing the swaybar for next season. It will be a long time waiting though
Also due to snow conditions we had to do a lot of riding just on the edge of the road, as in 1 ski on road and 1 ski off in the ditch. Is the swaybar also the reason the Phazer wants to DIVE into the ditch? It got really irritating really fast. Leaning hard to the roadside the thing still wanted to just dive into the ditch.
Any thoughts?
