Looking for some imput
Will i achieve more mph (top end ) by dropping the 1.25 on the apex and going with a 1inch with 96 0r 144 studs . Im riding mainly northern canadian trails . Im not concerned about off the line i realize the 1,25 is very good off the line im strictly looking at pure mph in long runs the difference of 2 or 3 sled lenghts is important i wanted to add studs just for the braking and saftey of coming into corners and not sliding through
so who thinks a 1 inch w studs is faster than a 1,25?

I would leave the stock track in. Its outstanding compared to the ones that were put on the RX sleds. Its not only traction but the fishtailing as well when riding.
It's kind of a toss up if your looking for top speed and don't care about off the line I would go with a 1" track and no studs!
I would thiunk with only 96 studs it would be faster than 1 1/4" track. You wont have the wind tunnel effect so bad.

You guys will be very surprised at how well the ripsaw turns,i would not stud it and just run it,if you absolutely need to stud do 96 down the middle.
I have a ripsaw right now,but it's not the answer if your looking for top speed.
Trail sled in the conditions you describe, looking for max top end. Go with 1" fully clipped 9837 and 96-144 down the middle.

top speed
On my SRX 700 I went from the stock track that was a .92 I believe, to the 1" track. I lost a considerable amount of top end. So I would think you would gain. If you add studs you increase the rotating mass and thats not a good thing. So if your looking for just top end and not worried about bottom side the lower profile track will get you top end but will it get you from 0-60 fast? Probably not!

I'm in the same boat, because all I ride is groomed trails in Northern Ontario and you need studs up there. I'm only going with 96 at the most. 1.325 in size. Most Magazines state that the 1.25" ripsaw you may only lose up to 1 mph against the 1" track, but I'm not sure how much you would lose to a 1.25 ripsaw with 96 studs to a 1" with 96 studs. Would it still only be 1 mph? I'm not sure. I'm going to send an email to Snowtech and see what they say and if I get an answer, then I will let you know what it is?

Keep in mind, the Ripsaw must be a pretty darn good track if everybody seems to be going with it :ORC
