TOP END ?

Rotax!: Think what you want. Unlike most of the guys on this site I've run both.I'm talking from experience.

You ask why they run a paddle in the mountains? They run in 4 foot plus snow depths. That's a hell of a lot different then 6 to 14 inches of snow.

Did you watch the video of the LP whipping the #*$&@ out of the big mountian sled. Both sleds make over 200 hp. So why did the .75 track walk the 2 plus inch paddle in that loose ski hill snow?

I can't argue with your expierances jason but yours don't match mine and many others from the looks of it :ORC

I will be waiting next winter to see how it works out for you Jason.

I have been thinking of doing the same to my Warrior as most all my riding is on trail.

I really like the Warrior except that I find it pushes with the 136" Studded Ripsaw. I would prefer it to be more loose in the corners. I really do not want to load the front end with a real agressive ski and a ton of carbide, as this sled is driven by others including my wife and daughtor, and I do not want it to need someone with arms like tree trunks to drive it.

My 2001, 121 700 Vmax Deluxe, with the 1" Track is just a little too loose.
I figured a 121" Ripsaw or a 1" 136 might be just about right for the balance I am looking for with a stock ski with 6" of Carbide.

Ordered a GT to replace the V-Max. From what you guys say that drove the new ones, and my riding the 05 Demos, I think it should be good for balance.

I think you may be right on the money for what you and I are looking for. Even though we may both not have the same needs, the 1 " track may well supply the solutions we are seeking.

Good luck with it,

Dave

My kids Phazers shouldn't get stuck in the deep snow then, cuz they've got very little lugs on them too!
So according to Jason, they should get great traction & go like helll in the deep powder & on the fresh snow on the lakes!?
They shouldn't fall behind because their engines are racing & laboring to go at all!!??
Without deep lugs, we'd be just like we were in the 70s & 80s!
F##KED!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!
I'M DONE ON THIS!

COLDONE: Why don't you com pair apples to oranges? If I was getting a 121 Apex I would go 9830 for sure. I used it on my 03 RX-1 and never got stuck. MR sled and I road Paridise in February of 2003. We road in 4 feet of fresh powder with 4 feet of base out in a 80 acre clearing of rolling hills and open fields. I never got stuck. I have video of me flying over my bars when my front end did a submarine under the 4 foot of power when I tried jumping a roller. I jumped back on and popped up out of the snow "after I collected my thoughts".

I didn't need a 1.25 then and I don't need one now. With the addition of Long travel you start above the snow instead of basically laying on top of it. My SRX's were always getting stuck. Would a 1.25 track have helped them sure but not enough to keep me above deep snow.

Coldone I'm not trying to start a fight. I have some real world ride time on both tracks on a RX-1. I'm not a 1.25/ripsaw fan sorry. In all the situations I've ridden in the 1 inch track has been as good or better.

Guys - Need to bring the boil down to a simmer!

I'm gonna run an asphalt track next winter, completely smooth so it should be REALLY fast! LOL! 9830 or the ripsaw, both good tracks.
