Wow there is a Super Bushing on EBay but it is almost as much as a gear (30.00). The McMaster Carr one is 2.69 LOL.

Hory shet!!!
How many miles? Mods??
THIS inexcusable crap is why I won't buy a Viper or Winder til Yamaha addresses the shortcomings of the Pro Cross drivetrain.

F'ing yammycat. Sled has 3,300 miles. Stock. I have a McMaster bushing, and a new gear. Which way should I go?

Steve, the answer is clear. The rest of you donkeys are not stressing this gear nearly to the extent that I am. Gas is on the right in case you forgot.

Actually the lever on the right controls air, which in turn sucks in gas which in turn makes a BOMB go off in a tiny little 333cc cylindrical area that makes me squeal like a Virgin on Prom Night.
BUT calling the fun flipper an "Air Lever" has NO pizazz so we'll just keep calling it the "Gas".
All sarcasm aside from my Nutmeg State brethren, i still can't figure out how i got 10,000 miles out of mine. Again, as i stated before, i'm not sure if my gear was ever changed when i had my track replaced or a new tunnel installed. I didn't see this part on the list, so it just makes me wonder.
Are you working on it today at home?
I'd like to stop by, meet you, look at your crappy gear, offer some advice on life & maybe break your balls a tad for the Sarcastic Tongue in Cheek shot at my riding prowess or lack of...

LMAO. Going to my brother in laws at 10 to press the bushing in, and have another tensioner screw welded for a friends winder. Then will be putting it back together. Back to the subject at hand. I sent that video to some friends with winders. They say theirs is tight. These appear to be tight when the chain is on, and the chain tension is set. You MUST take the chain and gears off, then slide the gear on alone to see if theirs an issue. Mine felt tight until i really took it apart. I measured it and there was a .07 inch difference. You can feel it wobble at .009 per a friend.

New bushing in the gear. Had to hone it a few thousands so it would go on. All back together.
3500 mi on this one. Not sure why but less wear than I have ever had before. Surprised me since oil was seeping this round and ran it quite low on oil on one ride. Loctited tensioner bolts are still good and tight. Productive day finally. Plan on riding ties or wed if weather cooperates. Maybe visit Clutch Master!
Update: I am convinced the reason for gear wear is Jackshaft to Drive shaft parallelism. I was so happy with case side when I moved to clutch side both shaft and bearing ID were FUBAR! That had never happened to me before. Beyond saving by BOP wedge. Pics later. Crazy and karmas a bitch!
