Last march 1 mile ice track with excellent conditions
4 runs between 122.2 and 124.4 mph.

Last week-end 06 Apex GT 216KPH on the gun, 03 RX1 215 kph on the gun (That's 135MPH). Full body sleds on snow with regular tracks (1" Hacksaw and 1.25 Ripsaw). Temp was around 45f, probably 1800' distance.
what was the apex geared for ? i had my attack up too 130 mph on radar geared 24/38 with 9 tooth drivers. 12lbs of boost

You'd have to ask NORTHERNAPEX about the Apex gearing. RX was around a 1.40 ratio

My 07 GT and an 06 ER run 105-107 on speedo, groomed trail/ road, both with 144 studs. 06 turns 10,500 stock clutching. 07 turns 11,100 with dalton clutching.

My 06 RTX with ulmer stage 2, 115 on dream meter on hard pack lake ,my buddy on his Doo 600sdi saw 99.5 on gps on the same lake same time, we weren't side by side so dont know if he would've out ran me or not My sled blows on top end!!! Ive never been on ice with it though. I got 118 out of my Viper on ice, I tought I would see high 120's on the DM. Im disappointed to say the least. It revs up to 11,100 but then backs down to about 10,700- 10,800 when the track is fully hooked at high speeds.

Ya you are more than likely only going about 100 or at best 101 gps speed vrs his 99 but my guess is he tapped out. Now you should be going a good 10 mph faster in real speed, there is no reason some of these only go 100 mph top end on hard pack snow, when most will at least go 105-110 gps on them same conditions. Try gearing down one tooth,on top and reclutching,so you are running 10,600-10,800 on top,and check everything out carefully, bearings on all shafts, and wheels, track tension, and alignment, chain tension, ski alignment, what type of skis and what type of carbide, how much ski pressure you running, these are some of the top end culprits for loss of speed.

Last Saturday on Whetstone Res (Tug hill) soft ice with a little slush on top - 120 on dreameter. didn't have GPS with me. Last year 126 on dreameter was about 108 on GPS.

Sled speedo no teeth ground off?

Seems very slow. Was it soft snow?

How far down the road are you running for those speeds, they seem kinda slow, but it depends on distance run?
