Attention all those w/top speeds on radar or GPS!

All sleds are not the same as far as the dreameter,some are off 10% and others are offup to 12% and the faster you go toward top end the farther out the speed seems to be,we have two sleds with one tooth ground off and one stock,have not gpsed the stocker yet on good running but on long lake he was reading 134 dreaometer studded with 96 down the middle,its an apex rtx grandpar winshield powermadd handguards with simmons skis stock on everything,and that means clutching too. Now mine is an attak and at the time i had a bare track and i was spinning on top,and i have a cut tooth and am clutched,dreameter read 121 locked and would spin up to 125 gps read 114 and my boys rtx pulls on by me like i got the brakes on,oh ya my sled now and when i went 114 was all stock except clutching,now when i am trolling along at 50-60 speedo to gps is much closer,say 2-3 mph and at 35 its dead on,hope this helps.

100 on the speedo is 85 gps on mine. the odometer is right on though!

Odometer is DEAD on... i compared mine to 12 sleds in our group... all of us were within 2 miles of each other..

If you grind off one tooth the odometer will now be off 2.5 miles from other sleds with stock pick up key.

Yea this makes no sence. I see the speedo is off on every ride. But the odometer and the Gps odometer are usually the same. this is wierd.

125 is about 108

My RX1 radared at 114 last year, with the speedo reading 128, exactly 14 mph off at top end. My uncles lowered chiseled, geared Apex just radared at 126 this week in Maine.

Well he just matched his srxs top speed, lawrence must be happy,that is smoking for a big heavy 4-stroke,that even though it is lowered,it still is not as arrow dynamic as the srx.

Our stock Apex with a half Excel, half home-made pipe on the Soo I-500 track was getting steddy 112-113. One 114. These were on the radar gun on the front strateaway

ODO is bang on boys.....speedo is 15mph HIGH at approx 110mph actuall....we ground off TWO TEETH and they are now 2mph LOW at 110mph....

the closest you will get the speedo for top speed accuracy is by grinding off TWO TEETH.

Then you will also be aquiring less overall mileage on ODO.

I also did 2 teeth same as last year on RX_! , Sherrif radared on ploughed road not to far of a run he asked me my speed I had 93, radar said 94 .I'd rather have low milage and speed close ,I don't check milage just compare fuel used it's not as good on fuel as rx-1 but it's not bad. 144 megabites proline clutch, opened up the air in the front and took foam out of box & replaced with outerswear mat. over the screen in the box, runs good.
