Track alignment should be adjusted by the back inside wheels. Track TENSION WHICH IS IN the video is another issue all together. Get your proper tension THEN run your sled on a stand to get proper alignment. Very important when track is new! Spin your track and let it stop on its own. Feel where the inside wheels ride in between the track cogs. This should be EVEN on both sides of wheel. So the distance on the inside of the inside wheel should be equal to the out side. Hard to explain but when you do it right just a slight turn of the adjuster bolts will cause it to ride closer on one side or the other. This takes patience and practice. Sometimes even 5-20 spins on the track. I’m not sure where but I know a diagram exists showing what I’m saying.

I just went thru this on my thundercat. I had good luck by first spraying some silicon spray on the drivers and down each rail . Once lubed up the track moved much easier and seemed to respond a lot better to adjustments.

Thanks guys. Patience and very small turns on adjustment bolts worked but I think it might have loosened up a bit with all those studs. Will watch video... now if I can figure out how to get the handling right. It goes from very heavy to a big push in a heart beat. Very unpredictable. Thanks for the help

Having the track extremely tight also pulls on the drive shaft and keeps the left 6009 bearing behind the brake rotor from spinning on its inner race. I had a warranty drive shaft, bearing and rotor replacement already and trying to prevent a re-occurrence.Hi Guys,
Having a heck of a time getting alignment right without one side being extremely loose. Any ideas?
2020 SRX. I noticed it was running closer on right side when new but thought after four wheel kit install and adjustment it would run true but no. If track is at 2 inches at 20 pounds pull both sides it rides very close to clips on right side. I have totally loosened track and started over and same result. Have to go less than 14 on one side and 20 on the other to get equal clip distances. Something ain’t right. Thoughts?

The best chance you have to prevent exact same failure is to purchase and install BOP wedge. I don't know if running track tighter helps the problem but it won't stop it completely. If you don't do something different, it will fail again. Get BOP wedge and install it.

I found my track was too tight and adjustments didn’t do much until I had loosened both sides. Seems loose to me but it’s according to spec. With Studs I usually run tight but this slide suspension is different. At 110 on the dream meter I did not ballon and scrape any studs.... yet

Here's a short video on track tension. I use this and it works. I've got 1.630" Lake Racer studs and they've never hit anything in the tunnel.I found my track was too tight and adjustments didn’t do much until I had loosened both sides.
