Anyone using a track kit on there 660 or 700, which one did you go with?

Decided on the new X Gen for my 700 Grizz...... :yam:

I JUST PUT A SET OF TATOU S4 ON MY GRIZZLY 700 AND THE TRACKS CAN BE USED ALL YEAR ROUND IF YOU WANT BUT THE REASON THAT I BOUGHT THEM IS THAT THEY TRACK STRAIGHT AND THEY ARE LIGHT STEERING AS COMPARED TO OTHERS THAT I HAVE TRIED THERE IS A WEB SITE TO SEE VIDEOS IF YOUR INTESTED
HIGHLAND GT

I decided on the x gen, but ended up going with the tatoo 4s. Apparently the x gen's still have issues ? Availability was also an issue.
I'm satisfied at any rate........... 4 season tracks were the way for me as the snow can come and go here. I'll get some pics......

Finally got a pic..

Nice! I bet you can go through a lot of $hit with that set up. Do they suck a lot of power away from the motor?

No, I was surprised how responsive it is. Seems like it will literally go anywhere in the snow. :yam:

suburban,
I'm fairly new to this forum, and I know this is an old thread .... however, I bought some Tatou 4S tracks last Feburary & love them ... HOWEVER ..... I have a couple questions for you.

1) Have you had any problems / issues with yout tracks ??
A friend in Northern Calif. had an anti-rotaion rod break while running down a dirt road.
I've had a drive sprocket come apart from the wheel hub while riding. (Changed out the flush screws to longer ones with nylon nuts on the backside. I'm making new HD anti-rotation rods as well)

2) Have you done any servicing to your track bogie wheels ( large & small) ?? .... The small ones are pressed on at the factory. I'm in the process of converting them to bolt-on so they can be serviced (regreased) easily.

Have you used yours in other types of terrain besides snow ??
I've had mine in mud, rocks, dry dirt & deep water. When I finally got all the bogies off (I've only completed one track so far) every bearing had some amount of water in it.

Anyway, just curious how' yours are holding up.

Thanks ....
Later ....

Only issue was the screws backing out of a drive sprocket from the hub. Only 700 kms of riding in mostly snow.

Yeah, I had that happen as well .... within my first five miles of my first ride ! ...... What a bummer.

I replaced all those short screws with longer ones & put nylon nuts on the back side. Haven't had any issue with that since.

Did you do any changes to those screws ??

I love the snow ... but have had the tracks in some mud (Whoa ! ... that crap goes every where) .... deep water .... & in the rocks. What a freak'in blast. I hated to take'em off.

Here's a couple more pic's ....

Later ....
