my track is rubbing the left side of my tunnel. I have a fourth wheel kit and track tension is correct. I had the problem of not getting the track proper on the quiet bumps but the adjusters are equal. Anyone else have this problem

So I'm thinking this is normal? It is not a lot but a nice black vertical line just under seat

Same here... Road 25 miles all good stopped for breakfast then the noticed track noise and vibration thought it was just ice or snow .So I'm thinking this is normal? It is not a lot but a nice black vertical line just under seat
Same here. Check your driver alignment. Mine has rubbed both sides of tunnel but mainly left. I don't worry about it.

I'm assuming that is the official Yamaha response.

Not that I know of. Just be a bit sarcastic. My dealer has at least a few sleds that the drivers are not centered in the track. Some it's bad enough that the track is being forced over by the driver, some just make a baseball card in the spokes noise.
No. Thats just my opinion after 6500mi ridden with drivers tight to middle of track and to the left. Mine are broke in! No noise anymore. Is a big job I just didnt want to do since no issues other than a few track clips in beginning and track rub in tunnel which every sled I have owned has done. The right thing to do would be to remove driveshaft and place them correctly. I thought my track would be shot by now. I will do it when I put a new track on it. Riding way to much to do that now and original track looks great yet so.I'm assuming that is the official Yamaha response.

What is the track tension that everyone is ruining? This wasn't happening till I installed studs and fourth wheel kit. I'm thinking that I never had track centre on drivers to begin with and then adjusted it to stay in that position.
Start with the adjusters flush with the nuts. Then Mark your socket so you can count the turns. Turn both sides in same number of turns til track is hanging about 2 in. Run the track. Look at clip and slide gap between them should be same on left and right. If off whichever side is closer to slide tighten opposite adjuster 1/2 turn. Repeat if needed.

I took my sled back to the dealer because of the excessive rubbing in just over 430kms from new (2 rides). One month later the response from Yamaha Canada is that all of there Vipers rub and this is apparently normal to them. Paid over $15k for this machine, and expected a lot better. The track looks like a pair of jeans with a rip in them going through the wash every ride. Bad design. I will never buy another Yamaha again. Is there one?
Have you tried running a propane torch over the threads hanging? Works well and 8000mi on my original track you end up doing it less and less each season. Can you explain Excessive? Maybe yours is worse than normal. Picture of track and inside tunnel would help.I took my sled back to the dealer because of the excessive rubbing in just over 430kms from new (2 rides).
