We went riding last weekend with 3 new apex's and on the one apex we noticed there was some wear on the trac. When we got looking a little closer we noticed a lot of damage to the underneith of the tunnle to all three sleds. The support braket was broke and the tunnle was cracked outward about 1 inch on one sled. We took our sleds into Red Deer Power sports and got looking at all the new sleds and when the suspension is compressed the trac is rubbing the support braket and tunnle. Pic's were taken and sent to yamaha. The guys at Red Deer Yamaha have got skid plates made to protect our tracs from catching the braket until yamaha can come up with a fix.

Could you hear it when it hits? I bottomed out a couple times while accelerating and heard a godd awful noise like track ratcheting, but realized it shouldn't do that with extroverts. I will be taking a close look.

No we could not hear it. I thought i was bottoming out and tightened up my front shock in the suspension and was complaing that it was still bottoming out. But now i think it was the track hitting all along

I m waiting on pic's to be sent to me of the damage caused and of the skid plate that was made. The problem we are having is on the Apex Mountain but have been told that there is also a problem with the short tracks.

Here are some pictures of the apex's with a little damage to a lot.

Hey Every one take a close look at your drivers my sled and a buddies sled are wore down to the point that hey are going to have to be changed out. Looks like they are not running in time with the track.

mine is doing the same thing on the track issue. If you look at the paddles on the fwd edge (looking down from the top), they all have marks across them from hitting that casting.
