Is there a better way to stretch the ripsaw while minimizing potential damage, ie: short bursts, long speed runs or med cruising? I understand it should be checked frequently, but is one way better than another to stretch a track? Picks are 1.325 in length.

I would have to say that the best way is under acceleration. Just cruising doesnt' put as much stress on it as when it is loaded for hard acceleration.

I would take it on 15 to 20 minute easy run, not over 50 -60 and then tighten. This thing will stretch fast. The key is if you are getting any ratcheting out of the hole, stop and tighten. I tightened mine after 20 minutes of hard running (ripped off heat shield) and its been fine since.
