Trailer Dot test.

I was told today that trailers with TC plates need to be Dot tested. Never heard this before and have never had one tested. This is in the state of Illinois. Has anyone else ever had their trailer tested? Or heard of this law?

You only need a DOT test and inspection for commerce across state lines.
