1,600 miles and my tri-hub failed today. Came over the hill and felt the track driver skip a few. Checked track and tri-hub was destroyed.
J&T 4th wheel kit on the way!!!
Guys, don't push it too far with the tri-hub, they are garbage. I was hoping to make it to the end of the season. No warning signs at all either.

1,600 miles is not to bad. I have seen them go with a lot less miles then that.

Wow, I would be making a proactive replacement if I were you... I hoped for 2,000 miles myself.

Good friend is a Cat mechanic, said def should be done by 3000 miles or asking for trouble. Stock ones have an irreplaceable bearing, new ones are replaceable so once you've changed it out once, I'm guessing it should almost be an annually.

I am going to finish out the season. Then I will be changing all jack shaft, drive bearings, tri hub and track.

Have any of you that have had tri-hub failures, do any maintenance to them (grease them)? I'm wondering if they are greased regularly, how long they'd last.

I have not, not even sure if that's possible because I have nothing left to look at. It grenaded. About to pull off shortly and will post a pic.

Back some time ago there was a thread on here on how make the tri hub bearings removeable on the 2014's. I believe they used a hole saw.

Anyone try the JT kit that replaces the tri hub with two-independent inner wheels? How have they stood up?
That tri hub is junk. Both friends with the procross have ground them up. I wouldn't trust the 4th wheel kit that tack on to the outside. I would feel better to put a full axle with 4 independent wheels.
