So, what's the process to grease those bearings? Skid have to come out? Yikes?

It would probably be easiest to pull the skid out, that way you can inspect the rest of it as well.

Not nearly as bad as it sounds. About 5 minutes to remove the skid and 10-15 minutes to reinstall the skid depending on how many times you've done it.

If you have a good working table Unbolt the rear suspension! Jack the tunnel a litle bit by the bumper , suspension will stay on the table! Remove transfert rod. Don t touch track adjustement bolt. Now you can split the rail a litle bit and the shaft will come off! I just change the 4 bearing yesterday for prevention ! They were all in very good condition (7000km).

Step 1- remove tri hub.
Step 2- throw it in the woods
Step 3- get a kit from JT Racing
Step 4- never worry about it again.

I've seen to many failures to trust that POS

Ya,reinstall needs tow to three people IMO one on each side to locate skid U at tip of skid to hook over front bar,you don't remove, and I rope it once its up there, and while at the same time have one person hold back skid while he drops skid back down and pull back on the rear, once it drops into the drop bracket, you are home free, the trick,is to get the rear of sled very high up in the air,in order to have room to slid the front of skid into bar.

How long are you going to make me wait, Joe? I need it in layman's terms. So a child can understand it.
Any pics? Haha.....sorry.

Note: I'm by myself & I'm not a lumberjack!

I swapped in a new rear assembly without removing the skid at the beginning of the season. Just remove the transfer blocks and bar, loosen the track all the way, loosen the bolts on the lower scissor mount, remove the rear axle. At this point if you lift the rear of the sled the track will droop far enough to check all the idlers

Turbo, whats a "lower scissor mount"? Pic?

So the four main bolts that hold the skid up there never get touched?

Sorry JT but I don't have any pics. In the Fall I removed the skid and took the chain case apart along with removing the brake caliper and repacking the bearing behind the rotor. I didn't take any pics because once I get into a project I just keep going and don't stop until it's done. I need to be more like Rockerdan and do a play by play and record it all. I find his video's very helpful. The hardest thing about installing the rear suspension in getting the rear bolts back in on the tunnel. They don't align unless you compress the rear springs with a ratchet strap.

Where the rear arm bolts to the rails. You need to loosen those bolts so the rails will spread enough to be able to get the axle out. Everything else stays.

Here ya go JT

" loosen the bolts on the lower scissor mount"
Key word," loosen" do not remove even if the threads are binding on the rails! It is a biatch getting these bolts back in if you pull them when the skid is in place.
