Tri-hub maintenance

Step 1- remove tri hub.
Step 2- throw it in the woods
Step 3- get a kit from JT Racing
Step 4- never worry about it again.

I've seen to many failures to trust that POS
From what i read it seems to be moslty all vipers....which were junk tr-hubs ....sidewinder ones seem to be better

Stock tri-hub 7000km? no 4th wheel kit or anything?...

I think the key to maintaining a sled and having a successful journey is keeping an open eye out for trouble.

Had to leave a sled behind one time in 25yrs. And even then, the signs were there. I ignored it, for the most part.

Turbo,
Thanks for your insight. It brings confidence to a journey I have not yet taken. Based on your comment about the tri-hub, i will include a cat fourth wheel kit with my work. appreciate it so much.

XP123....10mins by yourself & an hour with help. This needs to be reviewed? It's very possible you've become disoriented. Haha.
There's only one Rockerdan here on TY. Please work on your tutorial skills. You could make a close second. Not.....

ClutchMaster.....the illustration of the scissors has me baffled. Once again, maybe you should be changing out the oil in your air filter, Shoveling the driveway perhaps? Something???

I hear the sizzling of breakfast sausage and faint smell of fresh maple syrup. Let me see what's going on.....

Thanks guys.....

So.....the bolts I'm pointing to get loosen up, not removed. Loosen track, Transfer bar & blocks get removed. Pull axle bolt and weasel Hub through the top, yes?

I never needed you guys. I was just asking for the newbies.....jk!

So i guess I'll pull them apart, Grease the monkey and add the extra wheels....low or high temp grease?

Especially you ClutchMaster!!!

The tri-hub looks of pretty decent quality on my ‘16 MTX 141. The bearings are the replaceable type. I don’t run any other wheels and they still look like new.

#*$&@.....I thought the brgs are packable? Well I guess today was a bust. Lol!
Guess I'll throw in the fourth wheel kit and call it done.

Why not repackable?
Tri-Hub=Garbage
If you hit a rock in the trails it don’t matter how many miles are on that POS.
Mine broke in half around 1000 miles.

My brgs are tight. I guess you could pull the plastic side covers off and grease them. But I left my good snap ring pliers elsewhere.

The biggest tip was to to loosen the scissor mount to help split the rails for clearance. Nice touch VWTurbo. Went back together very smooth...

1 beer job.

You can't pull the seals and repack them Joe?

This Taiwanese garbage prevented me from pulling bearings and inspecting further.
