Installed Yamaha Tuner skis two weeks ago. Very happy with the results. Was running stock skis with 6 inch Duece bars and pushed pretty badly. Since installing the tuners has handled great. Very in love with this sled.
Installation was a bit tricky. The mounting holes on the tuners are a bit shallow for the cat spindles. There is a honey comb in the mounting area of the tuners that is a 1/4 inch thick. Started by removing this with a cutting wheel on the die grinder. Then ground off the knobs on the bottom of the viper ski rubber. Using the stock bolt and added an SAE washer to the outside and one in the middle of the ski to take any slack out of the saddle.
Works well for me and can get a set of tuners with 4 6 inch carbides for 250 plus tax.

I might try this. I have a set of tuners in the shop.
Did you try the tuners in the same conditions as the deuce bars? I have a set of 9" deuce bars and they don't push very much, but the handling is still not as predictable as I would like.

Did try in similar conditions. A little more steering effort but more predictable and still no darting.

Sure wish our sleds came with tuners. I really want to try them. Nice job!
I had the same problem installing the Simmons skis. Even though I bought the CAT version of the saddles it was a no go. I tried cutting down a spare set of cat sno pro rubbers and still to tight.
I had a pair of rubbers from an old polaris fusion that worked with no mods at all.

I am going to try them I guess. Did a run tonight with the deuce bars on very hard packed trails and very unpredictable. Slight push then grab with the ol inside ski lift. If this doesn't work will try the C&A skis. Curves would be good but don't know of a retailer here in Canada.

Thanks
Did what you described above with a set of tuners I had.
Awesome...best thing I've done so far.
Steers about 35 percent easier and if I lean right it really goes around the corners like rails ! !
I have 6 inch inside and 4 out at the moment.
Run these on my apex also and like them...

Awesome. Good to here. Love my sled. Glad they upgraded all flat land sleds for next year. Next year maybe boost for mine.

you will have a newer style tuner for your sled next year. i would wait and buy those, unless you have a set setting around. they do work great, have a set on my Apex.
