I have a set of pilot 6.9 on my nytro xtx, I was thinking of changing to tuner skis , can anyone tell me if this is a waste of money, or do the tuner skis really change the nytro that much that it is a cant live without them difference? What is every one running for carbide setup on the Pilots, I run only 6 inch down center but didnt drill out the mounting holes on outer edge of ski to run the dual carbide setup. or should i be running 2 carbides per ski, I just dont want a hard steering sled.

I love my tuner skis on my xtx. I had powderhound on it before that. I felt it was well worth the money. I am running a 2" carbide and a 4" carbide on them.

on my pilot skis I run a 6" shaper bar in the middle with a 4" inch carbide on the outside. it got really warm here Friday and over night everything froze up solid on Saturday morning. out of all the sleds that went Saturday morning i was the only one not having major darting issues. I was still darting, but nothing major.

I put on a set of tuner skis with 4"carbide inside and 6" outside. They work wonderful, darting is all but eliminated, inside ski lift 95% gone, and much easier turning. They do have a slight amount of "push" to them in the corners compared to the stockers, not enough for me to change any set up. I got used to it after 5 miles. They are relatively cheap in the world of "aftermarket" ski's. Well worth the money. Have had them on for 950 miles of trail riding.

Exact same setup on mine. Very little to no darting whatsoever.

;)! and I think that I got it from someone else on here. Cant remember who.

I was riding behind a polaris yesterday and he was darting like you wouldn't believe. I couldn't help but think how good this ski setup is... Doo parts or not!

are the carbides wearing good or do you still have to shim them
thanks

I just installed the carbides and ran them had to drill the holes for the outer edge carbides in the ski. Still same set. Last year we were running out of gas so we went to the nearest gas station and ran outta snow about 3 km from the station. They have not had an easy life and are still going strong!

If you want some spare money to get the tuner setup, im looking for a used set of 6.9 for my wife's phazer. :)

kojack, I see u have 6.9s on your xtx, with 8 inches carbide and 4 on outside, how hard does that steer??? does it track real good with that setup,? Not sure what im going to do yet, tuner or not to tuner that is the question, I might have some 6.9 coming up for sale in couple weeks

I install bergrstom skeggs carbides and the ski savers and spacer under to shim the ski's and they track good. A bit of darting sometimes. Wife phazer doesnt do it with her MTX ski's.

If you decide to sell them. Dibs for me. I just up in new brunswick so shipping would be cheap and quick. Keep me posted

Arrows, don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
