Looks good campsleder. Hopefully it will eliminated most of the ice build up.

Looks great so far! So on the Venture LIte and Multi-purpose machines, is the exhaust fully exposed to the snow from the track?

Yes it is. Snow hit the hot exhaust, vaporizes and then refreezes in the tunnel, creating ice boogers.

Nice work Campsleder!

Bending up the inner tunnel protector , home made metal brake a couple of hinges and some clamps.

Great ! thanks Question the four bogies that are on the solid shaft where the shock connects(on skid) do you need to compress this to get them off/on ?

I don't think so. On the MP, I have a gas shock which does extend on its own and may cause some grief while putting it all together but it may not be the case on the Lite. I don't remember it being particularly difficult to put together. Just take some pictures of the skid prior to taking it apart as the pivot between the front and rear shocks is kinda funky (or I might be thinking of the Phazer). It's still a good idea to take pics.

Ok finally finished just in time for the first snow ( in the back yard) Had a couple of issues starting it code 26 and 30 . Vac hose leak and who new you have to blow (through the oil tank breather hose in the air box )this sled after a oil change to prime the oil pump !! Had me worried !
So test worked great little snow in the tunnel , upper side does not get hot just warm , I am getting a smell coming off it but probably just all the new exhaust stuff (header wrap) getting used to the heat.
Extra vent out the back works great
Added new black plastic to the front also ,Black rack yet to put on .
Test on a winter camping trip next weekend Hot tenting !
Bring on the snow !

Very nice! I've seen a couple without the rack, definitely gives the sled a different character. Good job on that tunnel block off.

I'm just concerned on your oil change because I have never had to blow into any of our sleds (my MP and 2 Phazers) to prime the oil pump after an oil change. Have read that about other sleds (Nytro maybe) that needs to do that but not ours.

Yes that's where I found the solution Nytro . I even filled the oil filter a little before putting it on maybe that created a air lock ?
Definitely quieter and a different sound , you can feel the exhaust a good 3 ft back from the machine should not affect towing my toboggan.

Could be the partial fill of the filter. I don't put any because it is not vertical. It's actually angled down so it would make a mess anyway.

You look like you're ready for Cain's Quest with your setup.
