They want you to go through Gforce to buy it. When I priced it with Gforce they were ripping me off, and wanted to sell me "upgrades" to the kit they didn't even have. I was not impressed with their outfit. Like I said when we used to buy direct it was great. Basically Gforce would have charged me as follows. The kit price plus whatever it cost to get it to them, then shipping to me and all that plus tax. When I worked it out with Danny I think it was like 2 grand more than the mcx. If we could have bought direct and I did my own import it would have been perfect and cheaper. I called Mac and Matt on it but they wouldn't sell direct honourable forsure to keep the dealer happy but it's not helping them sell any kits here. I suspect they will be a dealer installed option next season anyway and the loss of the sale of a kit or two this year won't make a difference. Still love the product and the company just not the logistics of the dealer network.

The Hurricane kit is much simpler because none of the oil and coolant re-plumbing required on the MPI kit isn't required. I've installed both and its much much simpler to bolt in the Hurricane kit.
I think a race is in order to see which one really is the best
The funny this is, I'm pretty sure we were sitting across the bar from you and YamahaTim this past weekend at Bear Chasers. We could have easily raced. LOL
You are correct sir!!! It's a small world after all

I can't make it back this weekend. There is some talk about next weekend though. Any chance you'll be up that way then?

I rode a demo Viper ltx at Pats Yamaha in Greenland MI and it is rediculous. Tons of power yet ridable. they use apish Turbo set up. They do a lot of turbos, so if you are looking for a good installer check them out. I just had Push installed on my nytro mtx and it performs awesome.
lots of good options, I choose the installer and the service of pats,

Well I want in...have done some proper tweaking and I'm ready! My sled is finally going past 8200 rpm's and I'm seeing full boost.
Maybe we should meet up and make some videos!
MPI vs. Hurricane. Would answer a lot of questions!
IM UP FOR THE CHALLENGE!

Sled Werx Performance advertises it for sale....but Spence is a tool. Seeing as you live very close to the border, couldn't you have it shipped there and go across and pick it up?

If it were not for the crappy logistics of getting an MPI kit in canada it would have been the way to go. We used to be able to buy direct which was great.
Anyways we have an MCX 190 viper the kit works well, no real issues however would not purchase an MCX kit over MPI if it were not for getting the kit etc. The MPI kit is THE kit to have on the viper.
i have the mcx 190 kit. i bought the not included clutch weights. just brought it to dynotech research and put it on dyno. jim was very impressed. it produces 190 hp. the gen 5 efi box is bang on. the air fuel mixture was perfect. the turbo is very quiet. and just performs amazingly. only part i dont like is the venting screen that comes with the kit. i didnt use it. just added some frogzskins. im really impressed with the performance

You don't need the vent. I have clutching dialed for Ontario if you need!
And on the above MPI Spenc at #*$&@ is a major tool, and that's being nice.

They are all good in there own way. MPI has been an authorized dealer of Yamaha for its turbo and supercharger. There fit and finish is second to none! Matt at MPI has great customer service and that's why I chose MPI. They all make great hp. It's a hard choice. Do your research and find one that has dealers installing them.different dealers install different turbos. My dealer happened to be working with MPI and an authorized dealer of MPI and since they were also a authorized dealer of Yamaha it was a no brainer for me. And now that I have over 1500 miles on my sled I'm more than happy with my choice with MPI. Great power fast as hell and great guys to deal with!
YamahaTim - I'm on the fence, trying to justify a $4600 MPI Turbo after spending 12k on an XTX, want one but tough pill to swallow if you know what I mean. Wife's not happy as it is, says I have a problem (too many sleds), she may be right, lol. Anyway, seems like you have some miles on your turbo'd viper, sounds like your happy so I have some questions:
Any issues?
What kind of gains have you seen, real world?
Is it trail friendly?
How much do you think you gained on top end?
How much MPG do you think you lost?
Are you running 5.5 -6 lbs of boost?
Thanks for any input.

I have not had any problems...yes it is very trail friendly, the turbo is even quieter than stock. And the turbo almost makes it feel lighter...gains is huge! It takes a little bit to get it right, fuel and boost and clutching, but when it's all said and done it's worth it! Plus Matt at MPI will help and people on here will also help. It's freaken awesome!...I have not really opened it up across a lake, but 110 comes real fast!...after around 50 miles me and my wife filled up. She has a stock 2010 Vector LTX, and she rides real good, but not on the gas like me and I only put less than one gallon more than she did...and I finally got my clutching right and between 8800 9000 rpm's I'm running 6.0 pounds of boost....
I understand the money and wife thing cause I had a hard time convincing her. But she see's that I'm happy and that works for her! Or I would make it hell for her....lol the turbo rocks and I would recommend it to anyone! PM me if you have any more questions.
